This position is part of Novanta’s ATI Industrial Automation business unit. ATI is the world’s leading developer of robotic end of arm technologies. ATI end-effectors enhance productivity and flexibility of robotic and automated solutions across a wide spectrum of industries through capabilities such as automatic tool changing, force-torque sensing, material removal, and more. Primary Responsibilities
- Design and debug test hardware that is used to calibrate and test industrial robot tooling and subassemblies.
- Develop test plans and procedures
- Write test instructions.
- Conduct functional and environmental testing of electronic components for industrial robot tooling.
Required Experience, Education, Skills, Training and Competencies
- Ability to read schematics.
- Good understanding of analog and digital circuitry.
- Ability to troubleshoot down to the component level.
- Ability to solder.
- Experience with standard measurement and test equipment.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Good communication skills
- Ability to convey technical information well.
- Due to ITAR compliance, this position requires candidates to be a US citizen or green card holder
- Min. GPA of 3.2
Management prefers:
- Experience with Orcad Capture for schematics entry.
- Experience with Spice simulation.
- Experience with Agilent data acquisition systems.
Housing
- Fully furnished housing is provided at no cost to the student if they live out of state.
- The salary for this role will range from $37,430 to $50,000 annually based on full-time employment. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including but not limited to location, relevant skills, training, experience, education, etc.
- Certain roles may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation and/or long-term incentives. Incentives could be discretionary or non-discretionary depending on the plan.
