Intern Business Analyst

ABOUT THE ROLE
The intern will join one of our product teams and work alongside the Project Manager and development team, supporting requirement gathering, documentation, testing, and client communication. This is a hands-on learning role with structured mentorship and a clear path to a full-time position based on performance.
What You’ll Do
- Support the PM in gathering, clarifying, and documenting business and functional requirements.
- Draft and maintain project documentation — user stories, functional specifications, user guides, and process maps — under the guidance of the PM.
- Log, track, and follow up on client requests, feature enhancements, and bug reports through the established communication channels.
- Assist in reviewing existing system workflows and identifying gaps or inefficiencies.
- Help prepare onboarding and training materials for end users, and support user adoption activities.
- Assist with basic usage and adoption reporting, and support analysis of system performance metrics.
What You Bring
- Student or recent graduate in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a Business/Management-related field.
- No prior professional experience required; internship, coursework, capstone, or personal project experience in analysis, documentation, or software testing is an advantage.
- Basic understanding of the software development lifecycle and Agile/Scrum concepts.
- Background, coursework, or prior exposure to the oil & gas industry is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with reporting tools (e.g. Power BI, Spotfire) and project management tools (e.g. Jira, Azure DevOps) is a plus.
- Good verbal and written English (mandatory).
- Ability to explain technical topics in simple, clear language.
- Comfortable asking questions, clarifying assumptions, and communicating with senior colleagues.
