Intern – Autonomation
Based at MAS Capital, Rathmalana
We are seeking a motivated and innovative Automation Engineering Intern to support the design, development, and implementation of automation solutions. This internship provides hands on exposure to mechanical design, prototyping, electronics, programming, and project execution within a dynamic engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing and maintaining technical documentation, design records, and project reports.
- Create and modify mechanical designs and 3D models using SolidWorks.
- Support the development, assembly, and testing of project prototypes.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot and improve mechanical and automation systems.
- Contribute to electronics integration, programming, and automation-related tasks.
- Participate in project planning, execution, and progress tracking to ensure timely delivery.
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and support coordination across project teams.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Automation Engineering, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of Mechanical Design Principles.
- Proficiency or exposure to SolidWorks for 3D modeling and design.
- Understanding of electronics, sensors, controllers, and programming concepts.
- Strong documentation and technical reporting skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Skills Required
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Automation, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or related field
