The Intermediate HRIS Analyst partners with People & Culture members and their customers to analyze work process design and flow, improve processes and leverage the return on technological capabilities.
The Intermediate HRIS Analyst collaborates on project plans, adherence to project schedules, maintains systems orientation and can work effectively with peers to set technology priorities and conduct long-term planning.
This position also serves as a mid-level technical point-of-contact for the assigned functional area and assists subject matter experts with ensuring data integrity, testing of system changes, report writing and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities.
The Intermediate HRIS Analyst also supports HRMS upgrades, patches, testing and other technical projects as assigned.What You Will Be Working On

What You Will Be Working On

  • Coordinate, prepare and execute communications and training efforts related to the P&C Workday system and related process changes, including coordination of leadership forums, employee newsletters or alerts, informational sites and manuals, training curriculum, and other related assets.
  • Proactively provide input to improve the strategy that will ensure effective and efficient use of tools/modules.
  • Main responsibility will be the creation, development, and execution of reporting and dashboards both within Workday and Excel based for People & Culture and all other business-based reports in relation to workforce data in Workday.
  • Assists on releases and functionality to identify opportunities to improve and optimize the use of Workday.
  • Configure, test, validate and implement business process changes in Workday.
  • Assists in testing integrations, security, annual events.
  • Act as backup to Senior Analyst, HRIS on major projects and team management when needed.  Also, will back up the HRIS Analyst when needed.
  • Serve as an escalation resource for Tier 2 and 3 issues.
  • Provide input and knowledge sharing with Workday Team Members, and clients as appropriate.
  • Assists in projects and process improvement, including applying change management experience to facilitate movement to new levels of quality. 
  • Utilizes interpersonal skills when working with various customers and peers to accomplish project goals. 
  • Recommends process/customer service improvements, innovative solutions, policy changes and/or major variations from established policy, which must be approved by appropriate leadership prior to implementation.
  • Performs system maintenance, including assisting in the review, testing and implementation of HRMS system upgrades or patches. Collaborates with functional and technical staff to coordinate application of upgrade or fix. Maintains HRMS system tables. Documents process and results.
  • Provides production support, including researching and resolving HRMS problems, unexpected results or process flaws; performing scheduled activities; recommending solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements.
  • Generates reports/queries, including writing, maintaining and supporting a variety of reports or queries utilizing appropriate reporting tools. Assists in the development of standard reports for ongoing customer needs. Helps maintain data integrity in systems by running queries and analyzing data.
  • Conducts training, including developing user procedures, guidelines and documentation. Trains clients on new processes/functionality. Trains new system users.
  • Maintains awareness of current trends in HRMS with a focus on product and service development, delivery and support, and applying key technologies. Examine trends in information systems training, materials and techniques. Through classes, reading, CBTs or other mechanisms, continuously increases both HR knowledge and HRIS application/tools knowledge.
  • Participates in user group meetings/conferences.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

What We Are Looking For

  • Undergraduate degree in Human Resources or equivalent combination of training and work experience
  • 3-5 years of direct Workday experience with multiple modules.
  • HR functional and system experience preferred
  • Experience in managing internal communication and training plans
  • Understanding of HR operations and experience in employee data management
  • Ability to accurately collect information to understand and assess the clients’ needs and situation
  • Ability to forge, grow and maintain positive relationships with multiple groups
  • Able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet the time demands of unpredictable activities, capable of handling pressure and challenges in a dynamic business environment
  • Ability to work within tight deadlines and prioritization of work to achieve them
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong written and oral communication skills to interact with HR clients, cross-functional colleagues and IT
