The Job
As the Interim APAC Sales Director, this role is pivotal in maintaining sales velocity in the Region. Responsible for effective sales management delivering pipeline and revenue while ensuring alignment with financial and growth targets across the region. Its leadership ensures the achievement or surpassing of these targets within the Enterprise segment, contributing significantly to our mission of sustained growth and success in the APAC Region. This role reports directly to the Global VP of Sales - ALM.
People Management and interim responsibilities:
- Provide leadership to the APAC Enterprise sales team, ensuring focus on coaching and mentoring
- Lead a high performing team, ensuring individual and team performance goals and objectives are exceeded through the implementation of good performance management practices
- Monitor weekly/monthly activities, ensuring meaningful 1:1 discussions are held regularly. Inspect against clear KPIs such as Pipe generation, funnel mgmt, forecast accuracy etc
- Ensure continual development of skills and competencies for both self and direct reports, coaching and training sales team members to become experts and deliver a quality partnering service to clients
- Facilitate change by encouraging the sales team to seek opportunities for different and innovative solutions to address issues within customer programmes
- Provide direction and management to the internal support resources
- To set and achieve a level of professionalism that provides an example for all team members to follow
- Act as Senior Business Unit Sales Leader in the region, reporting to the Global VP Sales
Additional strategic, integration duties and assignments:
- Lead effort to size and design potential Inside Sales GTM for the APAC Region
- Assess and evaluate technology requirements for said GTM in Region
- Evaluate customer and prospect list to assist in GTM segmentation and assignment
- Evaluate current talent, ensuring proper skillset in each sales function within the region
- Evaluate and recommend process / governance changes necessary to drive great efficiency and streamline sales processes in the region
- Work cross functionally to identify process improvements needed to ensure accurate and timely book to bill
- Participate in cross functional GTM design workgroup, acting as Inside Sales SME
- Represent the ALM Commercial team in Regional Integration efforts
The Person
- Minimum of 10 years of sales experience, including 5 years in sales leadership
- Proven track record in managing regional or global sales organizations, consistently meeting and exceeding revenue and profit targets
- Fluent in sales measurements and KPIs driving sales performance, including lead generation, proper pipeline building, sales forecasting, and deal close ratios
- Experience in selling and negotiating at the executive level in complex B2B sales cycles
- Strong presentation and written communication skills, proficiency in CRM usage, and computer applications
- Based in APAC (preferably Sydney), with the ability to travel as needed
- Results-oriented mindset, with a focus on driving key results, managing team performance, and motivating teams to achieve great results
- Collaborative approach, skilled in internal team building, cross-functional collaboration, and executive communication, with the ability to navigate and collaborate across a large global organisation
- Fluency in English is required
