This is a non-union positionAs an Interconnects Project Management Specialist, you will work to continuously improve the gas interconnect program each year by applying lessons-learned to future projects and exploring feasibility of innovative technologies or techniques. You will be responsible for maintaining oversight of incoming customer interconnect requests for an assigned operating region, while serving as a primary point of contact with external parties and key Gas Transmission stakeholders like Business Development and Operations. You will also lead and plan the execution of multiple gas and measurement interconnect projects to fulfill the requirements of Interconnection Agreements with external customers, ensuring a focusing on safety, timeliness, and quality.

Here’s what you will do:
Establish and maintain internal and external customer relations throughout the lifecycle of Interconnection Agreement projects and in ongoing management of assigned regional interconnection agreement portfolio(s):
Internal customers include Business Development/Marketing, Operations, and Customer Service Operations.
External parties include Connecting Parties and vendors hired by 3rd parties to build to Enbridge specification in accordance with the Interconnection Agreement.
Develop cost estimates, spend profiles, project schedules and project proposals for budgeted, unbudgeted and unallocated projects for various stakeholders within Enbridge.
Uphold all applicable terms of executed Interconnection Agreements that initiated assigned projects.
Track project performance, update project spend profile, facilitate change order process, and approve project invoices.
Develop, process and evaluate provider request for proposals, negotiate contract terms, and write work order requests.
Initiate material requisitions, evaluate material quotes, assist in negotiating request terms, approve purchase orders, and monitor change requests.
Manage resource requirements to appropriately plan and execute assigned projects, including but not limited to internal support, engineering consultants and field contractors.
Facilitate outage meetings, commissioning meetings, pre-construction meetings, progress update meetings, deliverable reviews, and lessons-learned meetings.
Track service performance, provide performance feedback, and evaluate change requests.
Work closely with Construction Coordinators and other stakeholders to ensure daily and weekly plans are developed, communicated and followed.
Create outage plan, coordinate pre-construction meetings, and establish contractor interaction and scheduling plan.
Review inspector reports, evaluate construction progress through cost and schedule tracking tools, and implement corrective actions for construction activities.
Evaluate project performance and communicate changes to appropriate stakeholders and/or sponsors.
Who you are:
You have:
University degree or related construction or operational training and/or experience with 10 or more years of progressively detailed design and/or project management and/or field engineering/management. experience, depending on technical education, accreditations and competency development.
Demonstrated technical competence in at least one of the engineering disciplines with knowledge of others. Must have exposure to Engineering, Construction and Field operations.
General understanding of pipeline and terminal operations.
Excellent oral and written communications skills.
Problem solving, decision-making, organization, planning and leadership skills.
Valid driver’s license.

Working Conditions:
Office environment with some field work required.
Scheduled travel to operating facilities, construction sites, and manufacturer’s facilities (up to 25%).

Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:
Grasping, kneeling, light – moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.
