Job Summary

The Data and Innovation team is seeking an Intelligence Engine Product Manager to drive the strategy, roadmap, and successful delivery of a next-generation personalization API. This API will power personalized experiences across web applications and AI agents, leveraging customer data to deliver tailored context to agentic systems to enable generation of personalized, intelligent responses. In this highly cross-functional role, you will act as the voice of the customer and key stakeholders, defining the product vision, prioritizing features, and ensuring the platform delivers maximum business value and drives adoption. You will work closely with engineering, data science, and application stakeholders to transform business needs into technical requirements, manage the product lifecycle, and measure performance. This role requires a strong blend of product management expertise, a deep understanding of data-intensive platforms, and the ability to articulate complex data concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

At Red Hat, our commitment to open source innovation extends beyond our products - it’s embedded in how we work and grow. Red Hatters embrace change – especially in our fast-moving technological landscape – and have a strong growth mindset. That's why we encourage our teams to proactively, thoughtfully, and ethically use AI to simplify their workflows, cut complexity, and boost efficiency. This empowers our associates to focus on higher-impact work, creating smart, more innovative solutions that solve our customers' most pressing challenges.

What you will do

  • Define the strategic vision, business case, and phased roadmap for the Intelligence Engine, ensuring alignment with overall digital experience and AI strategy.

  • Manage the backlog, prioritize features, and communicate product updates and value to stakeholders.

  • Conduct needs assessments, market research, and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for platform growth and feature enhancements.

  • Collaborate with application teams, marketing, and business stakeholders across the organization to gather requirements and define user stories for personalization use cases.

  • Work closely with the engineering and data architecture teams to translate product requirements into technical specifications, ensuring scalable and reliable API design and data integration patterns.

  • Partner with AI/ML teams to ensure the platform supports emerging AI agent requirements as well as traditional personalization use cases.

  • Define and monitor key product success metrics (KPIs) related to platform adoption, usage, performance, and business impact.

  • Partner with Data Privacy and Governance teams to ensure customer data handling meets regulatory and policy requirements.

What you will bring

  • 8+ years of product management experience, specifically working with data platforms, personalization engines, Customer Data Platforms (CDPs), or LLM context management.

  • Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, engineering, or a related field.

  • Proven ability to define and execute a product vision and roadmap for complex, data-intensive APIs or AI/ML platforms.

  • Knowledge of machine learning and AI concepts, particularly as applied to personalization, recommendation systems, and predictive analytics.

  • Experience with LLM context management for Agentic workflows.

  • Strong understanding of data architecture, data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and how they relate to building a unified customer view.

  • Experience with API products, including defining API specifications, documentation, and managing the developer experience.

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with engineering, data science, and design teams to drive product development from concept to launch.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and convey complex technical/data concepts to executive and non-technical audiences.

  • Experience with agile development methodologies and product management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).

  • Experience defining metrics and conducting quantitative analysis to measure product success.

The following is considered a plus

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and how they support data and API services

  • Advanced degree
