About the role
The Roku Global Security and Workplace Services (GSWS) team is seeking an intelligence analyst to conduct risk monitoring using information from vetted third parties, open-source material, and social media. The analyst will identify, research, investigate, and assess potential threats to Roku’s employees, operations, facilities, events, and brand globally. This role focuses on both geopolitics and physical security, including safety-related risks, such as international travel, workplace violence threats, civil unrest, terrorism, and crime.
A successful candidate will be someone who analyzes and writes information at a high level, can produce tech stack analyses, thinks critically and creatively, and is someone who thrives in exciting, technology-driven environments. Understanding and a passion for geopolitics, international risk, and threat management is a must.
Successful candidates must be willing to learn Roku’s current risk exposure, aptly envision and plan for the risks ahead, be able to contribute to a program that provides value to the business, execute on Global Security’s strategic vision, be able to adapt to the ever-changing threat landscape as well as the evolving needs of the organization.
What you’ll be doing
- Identify, monitor, research, analyze and provide notifications regarding emerging threats and trends worldwide that may impact Roku's security planning and travel.
- Monitor social media on a regular basis for threats and security-related intelligence risks
- Assist with production of specific briefings or presentations.
- Assist with location-based reporting for travelers.
- Support location-specific intelligence, including active and archived alerts; city and country intelligence; and interactive maps.
- Monitor incidents in real time and notify appropriate teams.
- Manage persons of interest threat database to track trends and proactively mitigate avoidable risk.
We’re excited if you have
- A bachelor’s degree in history, political science, international relations, intelligence analysis, criminal justice, regional studies, or a related discipline.
- Experience in security analysis and risk assessments of physical security or security operations and planning.
- Proven ability to accurately draw conclusions by synthesizing raw data and information from multiple, unrelated sources into a finished comprehensive product.
- Ability to identify and solve complex problems and carry out responsibilities with little or no supervision, at times under adverse and stressful conditions.
- Availability to work on emergency situations during off-hours.
- Ability to quickly adapt to the external environment and organization.
- A strong customer service focus and ability to build and maintain trusting relationships.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Data visualization skills a plus.
