Position Summary

Ryan Specialty is seeking an Integration Project Manager to join the Integration Management Office (IMO). This person will serve as a project leader, creating value through the successful integration of other firms. This role reports directly to the Director of the IMO and will support cross-functional workstreams, manage integration budgets, drive project governance, and help execute structured, repeatable integration processes that support scalable growth.

What will your job entail?

Integration Project Management

  • Manage end‑to‑end integration projects across multiple workstreams, ensuring alignment with IMO playbooks, timelines, and success metrics.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams across Operations, IT, Finance, HR, Legal, Procurement, and business leadership to ensure Day 1 readiness and ongoing execution.
  • Serve as a central point of coordination between workstreams, ensuring interdependencies are recognized and managed.
  • Maintain detailed, actionable project plans, schedules, budgets, RAID logs, and dashboards using project management tools, including Smartsheet.
  • Track status, identify issues/risks, escalate concerns, and support mitigation planning to ensure timely and cost‑effective delivery.
  • Facilitate regular workstream meetings, producing agendas, summaries, and decision logs.
  • Communicate complex project and budget information clearly to internal stakeholders at varying levels of the organization.
  • Assist the Director of the IMO in preparing executive updates for key stakeholders and steering committee members and presenting integration status, risks, and financials.

Budget & Financial Management

  • Manage integration budgets, forecasts, and spend tracking in coordination with Finance.
  • Maintain accurate financial reporting, ensuring alignment between actuals and projected spend leveraging tools such as Adaptive, Workday, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Partner with workstream leads to confirm resource allocations, vendor estimates, and change requests.
  • Monitor financial risks and opportunities, providing actionable insights to the Director of the IMO and Finance leadership.

Process Optimization & Governance

  • Support refinement and evolution of integration playbooks, templates, tools, and governance models.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline integration workflows and improve efficiency across diligence, planning, and execution.
  • Contribute to post‑integration reviews to capture lessons learned and ensure continuous improvement of the IMO operating model.
  • Maintain documentation standards and support knowledge management across integration programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, operations, project management, or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in integration management, project management, consulting, corporate development, or similar roles.
  • Experience supporting M&A integrations from the buyer’s side strongly preferred.
  • Deep understanding of the M&A lifecycle, including pre-close planning, day one readiness, and post-close execution.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex, cross‑functional projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Hands‑on experience with project management tools such as Smartsheet for project and portfolio management.
  • Experience budgeting, forecasting, and resource tracking in Adaptive, Workday, or similar financial system.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and translate it into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities.

The target salary range for this position is $100,000.00 - $125,000.00 annually.

The wage range for this role considers many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, licensure and certification, business needs, and market demands. The pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. Full-time roles are eligible for bonuses and benefits.
