The Integration Engineering Manager for New Product Development will lead Integration Engineering activities supporting the introduction of new technologies and products into manufacturing.
This role is responsible for creating a disciplined transition from technology development through qualification, manufacturing transfer, ramp, and production readiness. The manager will ensure new technologies enter manufacturing with clear process requirements, understood device and integration risks, appropriate controls, and a defined path toward stable high-volume manufacturing.
A critical part of the role is connecting business demand with technology and product qualification strategy. The manager will develop a clear understanding of current and future product demand and use that insight to influence technology development, qualification priorities, and product introduction plans. Working across Technology Development, Product Engineering, Business Units, and Manufacturing, this leader will help establish a sustainable pipeline of qualified products that supports fab loading, utilization, product ramps, and future business growth.
The manager will provide both technical and organizational leadership, ensuring that Integration Engineering delivers technologies that are technically ready for manufacturing, prioritizing the technologies and products needed to support the factory's future loading requirements.
Technology Development & Manufacturing Readiness
- Lead Integration Engineering for new technology and product development programs from development through qualification, transfer, ramp, and high-volume manufacturing.
- Establish manufacturing-readiness requirements and drive closure of process integration, device, yield, defectivity, reliability, and manufacturability risks before and during transfer.
- Ensure learning from development, characterization, qualification, reliability, and early production is translated into robust process controls, specifications, and manufacturing requirements.
- Monitor early manufacturing performance and drive technical resolution of issues required to achieve stable production.
Demand, Qualification & Fab Loading
- Understand current and future product demand and translate it into technology, product qualification, and manufacturing-readiness priorities.
- Influence technology development and product qualification plans to align the NPD pipeline with business demand and future fab-loading requirements.
- Identify gaps between demand, qualification timing, and manufacturing readiness that could constrain future fab loading, and drive cross-functional actions to close them.
- Maintain a forward-looking pipeline of manufacturing-ready technologies and qualified products aligned with planned product ramps, fab utilization, and business growth.
Cross-Functional Execution
- Partner with Technology Development, Device Engineering, Process Engineering, Product Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Reliability, Yield Engineering, and Business Units to align technical execution with manufacturing and business priorities.
- Establish clear program priorities, technical deliverables, ownership, and escalation paths across NPD Integration activities.
- Balance technical risk, qualification timing, manufacturing capability, and business demand when establishing priorities and driving execution.
- Capture and institutionalize lessons learned to improve future technology transfers and product introductions.
Organizational & Technical Leadership
- Lead and develop Integration engineers with strong capabilities in process integration, structured problem solving, technology transfer, and manufacturing ramp.
- Provide technical direction and coaching while building broader organizational capability in new technology and product introduction.
- Provide leadership with clear visibility to technology readiness, qualification status, technical risk, fab-loading exposure, and actions required to maintain ramp commitments.
- BS or advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related technical discipline.
- Strong background in semiconductor process integration, technology development, device engineering, or manufacturing engineering.
- Experience with semiconductor technology development, qualification, transfer, and/or manufacturing ramp.
- Strong understanding of the relationship between process integration, device performance, yield, reliability, manufacturability, and manufacturing readiness.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex technical programs involving multiple engineering disciplines.
- Ability to connect product demand and business priorities with technology qualification, manufacturing readiness, and factory requirements.
- Strong systematic problem-solving and data-analysis capability.
- Ability to manage multiple development programs while balancing technical risk, qualification timing, manufacturing needs, and business priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional organizations and drive execution without relying solely on direct organizational authority.
