JOB OVERVIEW
Designs and develops the electronic data interchange (EDI) system and operations. Analyzes client requirements for the electronic exchange of information and ensures that client systems and internal systems are compatible and connected. Writes detailed descriptions of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify EDI programs. Conducts testing of information exchange to validate data. Build and document a detailed understanding of the existing legacy data (structures, locations, relationships, known challenges/edge cases, etc.) and migrate the data to a new system.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Develop, install, and configure HL7 interfaces based on customer’s workflow and configuration capabilities
- Manage several projects at once over lengthy timelines
- Use project management tools, including project plans and implementation checklists, to provide insight on interface implementation progress and to ensure that project deadlines are completed within expected timeframe
- Design and implement a customized testing strategy for all new interfaces, depending on customer’s workflow and configuration capabilities
- Act as main point of contact for interface validation, ensuring that all required interface functionality has been tested appropriately using a dynamic approach and methodical testing habits
- Serve as subject matter expert for all interface functionality and support Sales Team by participating in sales calls upon request
- Help to foster a team player environment and share knowledge with other team members
- Handle any custom development request for interface functionality outside of the scope of our standard interface templates, including SQL stored procedure updates and scripting changes through Python or VB.NET
- Offer insight to Product Management regarding application development and enhancements that can be used to augment interface functionality
- Serve in a mentor role to support training and education of other team members
- Serve as the lead Interface Engineer for highly complex Enterprise implementations, demonstrating an attention to detail and critical thinking that will ensure the success of the implementation.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum Education Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum 4+ years relevant experience; may have degree or equivalent.

Salary Range: $67,333.60 - $84,167.00 USD
