Position Summary

The Integration Engineer serves as the principal architect and developer of enterprise application integration solutions at Chaney Enterprises, with direct accountability for designing, building, and maintaining API-led middleware flows and automated data pipelines that connect operational dispatch platforms to corporate financial systems. This role ensures zero-data-loss execution between front-line plant operations and enterprise ERP environments by establishing reliable, scalable, and secure integration architecture. The Integration Engineer plays a critical role in eliminating manual data entry and duplication across workflows, directly supporting operational efficiency, financial accuracy, and the organization's continued growth trajectory. As a technically advanced individual contributor, this position exerts significant influence over the integrity and performance of enterprise data movement across the organization.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

The following duties are considered essential functions of this position. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Architects, builds, and manages reusable API-led interfaces and integration flows using enterprise iPaaS platforms such as MuleSoft Anypoint, Dell Boomi, or SAP Integration Suite.
  • Designs and maintains secure data pipelines connecting front-line operational ticketing systems, including Command Alkon, to cloud ERP platforms such as Acumatica, NetSuite, and Loop ERP.
  • Establishes event-driven messaging patterns using technologies such as AMQP and Kafka to support real-time data streaming across enterprise applications.
  • Maps, transforms, and synchronizes complex data objects including aggregate batch weights, telematics event stamps, customer credit limits, and pricing conditions between integrated systems.
  • Automates the posting of raw batch scale transactions directly to the ERP general ledger, ensuring precise job costing, work-in-progress tracking, and revenue recognition.
  • Builds unified Customer 360 dashboards and deploys real-time credit validation tools in support of commercial sales operations.
  • Develops and executes automated test plans to validate API payloads, error handling, and data contract schema compatibility across integrated environments.
  • Implements robust retry mechanisms, idempotency controls, and dead-letter queues to prevent duplicate postings and data loss.
  • Manages full API lifecycles and maintains automated CI/CD integration pipelines in alignment with enterprise software delivery standards.
  • Monitors interface health, triages data mapping errors, and performs root-cause analysis on failed transactions to minimize disruption to operational and financial workflows.
  • Maintains clear and current interface specifications, data contract documentation, and operational runbooks for use by technical support teams.
  • Collaborates across business and technical teams to communicate integration design decisions, document requirements, and support continuous improvement in enterprise software delivery.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in application development, integration engineering, or middleware development.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in transport, logistics, construction, materials handling, or a closely related industry.

  • Experience with data platforms including Databricks and Power BI or equivalent Microsoft analytics products.
  • Experience working with cloud ERP systems such as NetSuite, Acumatica, or comparable platforms.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous learning within a growing enterprise environment.
