Job Description:
About Kaleris
Many of the world’s largest brands rely on Kaleris to provide mission-critical technology for yard management, transportation management, maintenance and repair operations, terminal operating systems, and ocean carrier and vessel solutions. By consolidating supply chain execution software assets across major nodes and modes, we address the dark spots and data gaps that cause friction and inefficiency in the global supply chain.
The Role
The YMS Integration Consultant is a critical member of the Professional Services team, responsible for leading the end-to-end implementation of integrations between the Kaleris Yard Management System (YMS) and customer-facing enterprise platforms such as Transportation Management Systems (TMS), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and other third-party applications. This individual serves as the primary technical authority for all integration-related activities following the sale of a YMS product, bridging the gap between what was sold and what is successfully deployed for the customer. They are deeply embedded in the customer journey from initial discovery through go-live and beyond.
In this role, the Integration Consultant partners closely with customers to understand their operational workflows, map data flows between systems, and design integration architectures that minimize friction for end users. This requires not only strong technical fluency with APIs, message brokers, and middleware platforms, but also the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders such as operations managers, dock supervisors, and warehouse clerks. The specialist must balance competing priorities — ensuring technical rigor while always keeping the customer's operational continuity at the forefront.
Beyond implementation, the YMS Integration Consultant plays an ongoing support and troubleshooting role, diagnosing issues in live production environments and developing automation tools to improve the efficiency and repeatability of integration testing and deployment. This person thrives in ambiguity, is comfortable working across internal teams (Engineering, Cloud Ops, Product, Sales), and takes ownership of outcomes from discovery all the way through post-go-live support.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
The Integration Consultant manages the full lifecycle of integration activities across multiple concurrent customer engagements. On any given day, this person may be leading a discovery call with a new customer, configuring a staging environment, reviewing API logs, or coordinating with Cloud Ops to deploy services. The role demands both deep technical execution and strong customer-facing communication skills.
- Conduct discovery sessions to understand customer integration goals, operational workflows, and existing system landscape (TMS, WMS, ERP, etc.), and map those workflows to YMS import/export events and API interactions
- Facilitate key integration architecture decisions including API Gateway vs. SNS/SQS approaches, authentication methods (API key, OAuth 2.0, mTLS), and cybersecurity/compliance requirements
- Coordinate with Cloud Ops to deploy required services, configure YMS system parameters, event hooks, and asset attribute key mappings in staging and production environments
- Submit and validate test messages, review logs (Sumo Logic, CloudWatch, CTS), and develop automation scripts to support iterative testing and edge case resolution
- Diagnose and resolve production integration issues — including authentication failures, firewall misconfigurations, and missing shared keys — serving as the primary escalation point post-go-live
Qualifications
- BS degree
- 3–5+ years in a technical implementation, solutions engineering, or integration consulting role within a Professional Services or SaaS delivery environment
- Working knowledge of RESTful APIs, API Gateway architecture, and AWS messaging services (SNS, SQS), with experience in authentication protocols including OAuth 2.0 and mTLS
- Proficiency with log analysis tools (Sumo Logic, CloudWatch) and middleware platforms such as SAP CPI/Integration Suite or MuleSoft; scripting experience (Python or similar) is a plus
- Familiarity with YMS, WMS, or TMS platforms and yard operations concepts such as trailer lifecycle management, shipment workflows, and asset tracking
- Strong customer-facing communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences and manage multiple concurrent implementations
- Availability to work flexible hours and adapt to a global company's needs
