Job Description
We are seeking a Media Manager to lead our omni-channel media campaigns and strategies for our clients in Southern Cone (Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Paraguay and Bolivia) to drive business results, innovation and performance through our Visa + Clients joint initiatives. The role will be responsible for leading all omni-channel media, strategy, planning, execution, optimization and reporting. This person will also be responsible for digital excellence, ensuring all digital channels are activated with the best practices and guidelines.
The position reports to Southern Cone Senior Manager based in Buenos Aires.
The main stakeholders of this role will be the client marketing teams based in the Southern Cone region and in all local countries in this cluster. This person will partner with marketing, clients, business leads and agencies, driving high visibility media plans for our initiatives with clients.
The role offers a strong intersection of media and digital evangelist for clients as well as media lead, ensuring all plans are built and activated using the most efficient and successful channels, partners and formats.
This person needs to be able to lead measurement conversations, understanding the media funnel for business and for brand metrics. The role also requires passion for creating new capabilities and developing the Visa brand supporting our client’s business needs on the newest and more effective media strategies, business acumen and strong communication and leadership skills
Essential Functions:

Lead omni-channel media campaigns for Visa joint campaigns for our clients (banks, merchants, fintech’s, others). From strategy to results, with strong performance mindset.

Be the point of contact for the media agency to client marketing initiatives.

Understand and lead conversations and strategy around the ever-moving scenario of media recommendation.

Strong media optimization mindset

Strong accountability for the success of the plans and full activation in all channels

Design social conversation, own channels updates

Responsible for all media legal approvals and data privacy for the plans

Be digital evangelist for client marketing for the region and stay abreast of key media and digital trends.

Manage efficiencies to support client marketing teams to excel in new ways of marketing including media, content and digital best practices, training, guidance, Global deployments

Deepen and nurture relationships with media publishers and technology companies to enable first-mover access, most competitive rates, and development of innovative programs that drive our brand and business forward.

Work with multiple stakeholders, marketing leads, clients, regional and global teams

Daily execution of the campaigns in partnership with the performance team for media optimization and A/B testing

Deploy innovation projects and test different publishers and new partners/technologies for our Visa + client campaigns

Work in partnership with the client marketing team to deploy brilliant content leveraged to each channel (offline, digital, social)

Partner with cross functional teams, clients, agencies and media partners to drive seamless execution

Strong communication skills to brief agency partners, media publishers and network partners to develop effective media plans and breakthrough programs

Partner with Analytics team to define clear campaign goals and with the performance team to execute media accordingly.

Manage multiple work streams, drive flawless execution and have a passion for testing & learning.

Drive innovation and optimization across media ecosystem in service of helping to evolve Visa + clients’ go-to-market approach.

Collaborates with internal Marketing/IT/Product/Clients and external agency functions on the development and implementation of marketing and media tools

Lead conversations with IT and global marketing tech stack team to continuously improve our marketing tech stack in relation with client’s campaigns

Understand and fully support data privacy policies
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- 4 years of work experience with a bachelor’s degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
- Preferred Qualifications
- 7-10 years of work experience and a bachelor’s degree or 6 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 years of experience with a PhD.
- Marketing/agency/media/digital experience, with planning expertise across the entire campaign ecosystem (from brief, to planning, media sufficiency, media split, channel planning, media execution including OTV, cable, digital, different DSPs and programmatic, PMPs, SEO, social media, format best practices, agency/client relationship, deals negotiation and performance)
- Experience leading digital campaigns at a digital agency or in the industry at a highly digital and consumer centric company
- Proficiency in Meta, TikTok, YouTube/Google marketing management platforms
- In-depth knowledge marketing campaign planning & execution, agency briefing/de-briefings, being comfortable at analyzing campaign ideas, media planning, digital plans (programmatic, social & search buying and optimization), assets and owned channels tagging,
- In-depth knowledge of digital media & content latest best practice including best publishers, formats, execution
- Understand how media impacts a consumer decision journey (from awareness, consideration, conversion, advocacy)
- Deep understanding of programmatic buying and media technology platforms.
- Good understanding of performance digital marketing and full-funnel execution
- Experience with content optimization (DCO)
- Excellent communication skills to work at different levels of the organization, across the region, with global teams, agencies and partners.
- Fluency in Spanish and English.
- Experience in credit card, payment or banking industry is a plus.
- Entrepreneurial spirit, hands on, ability to self-manage
- Flexible, positive and resilient professional as demonstrated by adaptability, professional maturity and ability to manage by influence
- Strong collaborative skills who can pivot between strategy, creative and internal marketing teams with ease and speed
