Who we are looking for:

 

The Associate Insurance Sales Agent is responsible for completing training, developing product knowledge, learning agency sales processes, and building the skills necessary to transition into a successful insurance sales role. During the onboarding and ramp-up period, the associate will gain experience in customer interactions, quoting processes, coverage analysis, and sales techniques while working closely with agency leadership and experienced producers.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Contact potential clients to expand their own customer base
  • Interview prospective clients to get information about their financial situation and discuss existing coverage
  • Explain various insurance policies and products to potential and existing clients; guide clients in selecting coverage to best meet their needs.
  • Suggest modifications and updates to clients’ existing insurance policies.
  • Build customized insurance policies and packages to meet client needs.
  • Complete all required licensing, onboarding, and agency training programs.
  • Learn agency systems, carrier products, quoting platforms, and sales workflows.
  • Participate in customer calls, meetings, and role-playing exercises to develop consultative selling skills.
  • Observe and assist experienced agents in gathering customer information and identifying insurance needs.
  • Learn how to evaluate clients' financial situations, existing coverages, and risk exposures.
  • Develop the ability to explain insurance products, coverage options, and policy benefits effectively.
  • Practice creating customized insurance solutions designed to meet client needs.
  • Build proficiency in prospecting, lead management, follow-up activities, and customer relationship management.
  • Progressively assume responsibility for handling customer interactions, generating quotes, and closing business as proficiency increases.
  • Demonstrate continuous growth toward achieving individual sales and service performance expectations.

  • General Lines License (Preferred)
  • Experience with managing customer relationships
