Purpose:
To support all aspects of personal lines insurance, including quality control of underwriting and compliance requirements, retention, remarketing, and servicing policies.
Responsibilities:
- Assist insurance specialists with routine software navigation, coverage selection, and carrier communications to ensure accurate frontline underwriting.
- Conduct policy retention by contacting members for rate and coverage reviews, rewriting policies as needed.
- Resolve standard compliance issues with insurance specialists to ensure accurate documentation and alignment with carrier and agency standards.
- Provide direct phone assistance to members for policy servicing needs and new business inquiries.
- Run insurance quotes and issue policies for specialized lines where specialists lack system access.
- Resolve foundational policy and business-related inquiries for agency staff within the internal support queue.
Qualifications:
Required Education
- Bachelors; Acceptable Fields of Study: Communications, Business Management, Finance, Risk Management, Mathematics or related fields of study
- Must have in-depth knowledge of Property and Casualty Insurance industry and the responsibilities to the policyholders.

- Must have in-depth knowledge of Property and Casualty Insurance industry and the responsibilities to the policyholders.
- Must have experience working with multiple insurance carriers in an agency management system.
- Must work independently and be proficient with carrier systems and processes.
- Must have the ability to build and maintain relationships with carriers, peers and members.
- Minimum of two years of experience in property and casualty insurance sales and service.
- Must possess active North Carolina Personal Lines or Property & Casualty licenses or obtain those licenses within 1 month of hire.
- Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation preferred.
