SageSure, a leader in catastrophe-exposed property insurance, is seeking a Insurance Product Engineer. We are looking for a candidate who is highly organized, process-driven, and consistently strives for efficiency through automation. What you’d be doing:
- Collaborate on the implementation of insurance product launches, modifications, enhancements, and ongoing maintenance.
- Identify operational inefficiencies and actively participate in automation initiatives. Address and resolve product-related issues through regression testing and validation of product functionality.
- Ad hoc projects and responsibilities as assigned.
We’re looking for someone who has:
- Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel and Word.
- Applied knowledge of SQL/TSQL/XML/HTML/JSON.
- Ability to problem-solve, work independently, manage workload, and plan to meet deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in creating functional documentation
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Actuarial, Computer science, or related field.
Highly preferred candidates also have:
- Previous experience in the Insurance industry, preferably personal lines, homeowners, and/or commercial BOP
- Proficiency in one of the following programming languages: C#, C++, Python, R.
- Proficiency in Visual Studio Code and GitLab.
- Working usage of VBA.
- Actuarial exams or related experience.
- Process automation experience.
