The Equine Mortality Division is looking for an Insurance Operations Associate join their team in Ocala, FL. This individual should possess strong analytical and organizational abilities with a focus on prioritization.  After the initial training period, this individual can work a hybrid schedule out of the Ocala, FL office. Job title and pay will be dependent upon successful applicant's level of experience.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

  • Participates in examining and processing new insurance policies, renewals, endorsements, and cancellations using various systems.

  • Enters or loads data into appropriate systems and researches and resolves data errors.

  • Organizes, prepares, and updates reports.

  • Participates in identifying opportunities to streamline procedures, enhance efficiency, and reduce costs.

  • Reads and interprets emails from agents regarding policy activity or customer inquiries.

  • Uploads incoming and outgoing email correspondence to electronic filing systems following established protocols.

  • Communicates professionally and efficiently with both internal departments and external customers.

  • Locates, verifies, and uploads horse records from external websites to support underwriting and policy servicing.

  • Initiates and updates activities related to equine policies within designated policy management software.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Education: High School Diploma (Associate degree preferred)

Experience: Experience working in an office environment and demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications particularly Outlook, and Excel. Equine knowledge is also a plus.
