SUMMARY

Colliers Mortgage is seeking a driven, customer focused, and detail-oriented Insurance Coordinator to support our internal Insurance team. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to break into both the commercial real estate and/or commercial insurance industry. This individual will build strong cross functional internal relationships, correspond with complex commercial mortgage clients, external insurance agents/brokers, as well as our broader loan servicing team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collecting evidence of insurance prior to renewal
  • Requesting and collecting invoices, paid receipts, and insurance policies according to lender guidelines
  • Disburse Insurance renewal invoices in a timely manner
  • Assisting in obtaining escrow shortages, request escrow analysis when needed
  • Reviewing the initial Certificate of Insurance and assist in identifying and escalating concerns to the insurance analyst
  • Maintaining servicing system and loan files
  • Monitoring incoming insurance requests
  • Monitoring and running status reports on a weekly and monthly basis
  • Assisting in coordinating documentation for audits
  • Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • 6+ months of office experience, or an associates or higher degree required
  • Mortgage loan, insurance, business finance, or banking experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to quickly recognize discrepancies in the available data
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures or governmental regulations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to effectively manage competing priorities
JOB EXPECTATIONS

This is a full-time position in office three days a week. Days of work are Monday through Friday during standard business hours. Regular and reliable attendance required.

Approximate Compensation Range for this Role: $50,000 - $60,000 annually

Our compensation ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
