Job Summary
The primary task of an Insurance Coordinator in JRM’s Risk Management Department is to perform any task associated with obtaining, distributing, and maintaining Certificates of Insurance for projects.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Create and maintain electronic job folders, and properly label and file documents electronically
- Create and distribute sample COI’s and Insurance Exhibits
- Communicate with subcontractors, brokers and third parties to obtain compliant COI’s and related documents
- Review subcontractor insurance to ensure compliance with contractual requirements
- Distribute COI’s to internal and external stakeholders, including Clients, Client Representatives, and/or Building Managers
- Create and maintain COI tracking logs
- Review and request COI requests, and communicate with broker to obtain COI’s
- Escalate compliance issues as they arise
Qualifications and Skills
- Basic understanding of insurance principals and lines of coverage
- College Diploma or equivalent
- Insurance-related work experience is preferred
Computer Systems
- Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Salary Information
- To the extent this position is performed in Florida, the annual salary range for this role is $60,000 - $65,000.
