DEME’s Legal Department, situated at DEME’s headquarters in Antwerp (Belgium) and consisting of an extensive and complimentary team of in-house legal and insurance counsels, is looking for a detail-oriented and organized Insurance Administrator to join its team.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing insurance policies, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and providing excellent support to clients and internal teams. The ideal candidate will have strong administrative skills, a customer-focused attitude, and a solid understanding of insurance processes and terminology.Your responsibilities

  • In collaboration with the insurance counsels, ensuring adequate insurance cover is in place for each of the risks DEME encounters in its activities;

  • Submitting information and obtaining quotes from brokers in the international insurance market, binding coverage and taking responsibility for the accuracy of each of the programs;

  • Acting as a primary point of contact and adequately responding to inquiries from internal clients regarding insurance policies;

  • Providing timely and accurate information to internal clients and resolving issues effectively (in close consultation with insurance counsels);

  • Coordinating with insurance providers to address customer concerns and ensure seamless service delivery.

  • Maintaining and updating insurance databases (risks/insurances/policies);

  • Ensuring accuracy and completeness of all policy documentation as well as compliance with established legal and organizations standards;

  • Ensuring invoices are correct & following up on payments.

Your profile

  • You have strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients, team members, and external stakeholders. ;

  • You have strong organizational and multitasking skills with a keen eye for detail;

  • You have a flexible and open mindset and you like to take ownership over your tasks;

  • You have a strong understanding of (marine) insurance products, terminology, and processes.

  • You can express yourself in English, both written and spoken;

  • You are strong in MS excel;

  • You have the ability to manage workload and prioritize tasks.
