The role

This is a phone-based, outbound sales role where you’ll own and grow your own portfolio of members across assigned regions. You’ll be responsible for driving new business, managing renewals, and hitting sales targets, using proactive outreach and strong relationship management to build and grow your book. You’ll sell a mix of Capricorn Mutual (our alternative to traditional insurance) and insurance broking products, giving you a strong and unique offering when working with Capricorn Members.

What you’ll do

  • Own and grow a portfolio of members, with clear targets for new business, retention, and renewals
  • Drive new business growth through outbound calls, prospecting, lead generation and conversion
  • Identify and convert opportunities from an existing member base
  • Prepare and present tailored quotes across Capricorn Mutual (CML) and insurance broking products (CIS)
  • Take accountability for hitting and exceeding sales targets within your assigned territory
  • Actively grow and uplift your portfolio, not just maintain it
  • Manage end-to-end renewals, ensuring retention targets and timelines are met
  • Collaborate with internal teams to finalise and convert policies and protections
  • Support members with complaints when required, managing them in line with internal processes and obligation

What you’ll bring

  • Strong sales experience in a target-driven environment
  • Proven ability to generate new business and hit revenue targets
  • Confidence working in an outbound, phone-based role
  • Experience managing a portfolio with renewal responsibility
  • Excellent time management
  • Strong relationship-building skills and establishing trust without being face-to-face
  • Commercial mindset, you understand how to grow a book of business
  • A team player who shares knowledge and celebrates success
  • Experience in insurance, preferably in account management.
  • RG146 Tier 1 (desirable)
