JOB SUMMARY:

Sky Zone is growing, and we are looking for a driven professional with an inclusive mindset to join our Training & Development team as an Instructional Designer. The Instructional Designer creates company-wide (Corporate, Owned & Operated, and Franchise) training and development programs to support organizational growth goals and initiatives. This position reports to the Director, Training & Development and partners with leadership and internal stakeholders to design, develop, and maintain best-in-class experiences to engage team members and drive results. This is an Individual Contributor position in a remote work environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Development, Instructional Design, Human Resources, Psychology, or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of demonstrated success in Instructional Design or related experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products.
  • Proficient in learning authoring tools such as Articulate 360, Adobe tools, Camtasia, Vyond.
  • Fluent in ADDIE instructional design theory and practical application.
  • Workday Learning Management System (LMS) experience.
  • Familiarity with project management tools.
  • College degree and/or Instructional Design professional certificates.
  • Assessment, design, development, and evaluation skills of instructional design.
  • Effectively able to work in a high volume, fast-paced, rapidly changing, results-oriented work environment.
  • Guest service mindset with the ability to prioritize workload and provide timely follow-up and resolution.
  • Strong organizational skills and time management skills, coupled with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to work within and handle multiple deadlines and competing priorities
  • Must thrive in a remote cross-functional work environment.
  • Collaborative approach to work that values feedback.
  • Ability to think critically to support simplification and efficiency.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design and develop Sky Zone multi-media training materials (web-based, print, ILT in-person and virtual) and learning experiences for participants and facilitators utilizing sound learning principles that connect with our various levels of team members using modern, innovative methods.
  • Use solid instructional design methodology and adhere to Brand guidelines and voice when designing and developing these materials.
  • Create deliverables to include engaging courses, documents, objectives, scripts, storyboards, facilitator and participant guides, PowerPoint presentations, job aids, and knowledge assessments, etc.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and SMEs on content need, design, and development to translate business content into learner-centered experiences.
  • Maximize learning transfer, evaluate courses and materials, and support organizational strategies and goals.
  • Partner to support LMS functionality, administer learning content, including SCORM loading, course creation, etc.
  • Partner with other team members to perform analyses and impact of training experiences.
  • Stay current on modern learning modalities, best practices, and emerging technology.
  • Continually examine current practice to influence improvements and simplification.
  • Perform course maintenance on an effective schedule.
  • Occasionally, conduct train-the-trainer sessions and facilitate/support instructor-led/virtual environments.
  • Develop a complete understanding of each associate audience, aligning and adapting as appropriate, and ensure relevance in all learning resources
  • Participate in special projects as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • This position requires the ability to remain stationary while working on a computer with or without reasonable accommodation.

Compensation range is $75-$85 based on qualifications and experience. Full-time employees at Sky Zone enjoy a competitive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage along with a 401k plan with company matching. Eligibility for 401k is based on age and tenure requirements.
