We are looking for an experienced Instructional Designer to work within our Business Improvement Team in South Brisbane.

You will be tasked with transforming training materials into engaging learning experiences that will support the successful implementation of the new technology, processes and ways of working across the enterprise.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an Instructional Designer who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, influencing outcomes, and creating learning solutions that drive measurable business impact.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Design and develop engaging learning solutions to support business transformation and system implementation initiatives.

  • Create a range of learning assets including eLearning modules, face to face training packages, digital learning content, facilitator guides, quick reference guides, job aids, videos and instructional materials.

  • Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts to analyse learning requirements and translate complex information into meaningful learner experiences.

  • Develop learner journeys, learning pathways and training plans aligned to program milestones and business readiness requirements.

  • Utilise adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies to create effective and accessible learning solutions.

  • Design and develop content using digital authoring tools

  • Manage multiple learning deliverables simultaneously while working within program schedules and key delivery deadlines.

  • Support training planning, learning communications and readiness activities across the Avanti Program.

  • Continuously evaluate and improve learning content based on stakeholder and learner feedback.

  • Ensure all learning materials align with Sime Industrial standards, branding and change adoption objectives.

What you’ll need:

  • Demonstrated experience in Instructional Design, Learning Design or Digital Learning development within large and complex organisations.

  • Advanced experience using digital authoring tools

  • Strong capability in storyboarding, content development and learning experience design.

  • Experience supporting large-scale transformation, technology, ERP or business change initiatives (preferred)

  • Ability to simplify complex concepts and processes into engaging and user-friendly learning solutions.

  • Strong written communication and visual design skills.

  • Experience working with diverse stakeholder groups, including subject matter experts, business leaders and project teams.

  • Understanding of adult learning principles, change management and learning effectiveness measures.
