We’re seeking someone to join our team as a Manager/ Senior Manager to collaborate with colleagues and industry experts to design and deliver high performance data frameworks and technical platforms that power advanced analytics engagements and solutions.
The Business Solutions Group (BSG) team sits within Morgan Stanley’s Institutional Securities Group (ISG) and functions as an in-house management consulting team supporting the firm with strategic program management and delivery, large-scale transformation, operational improvement, and regulatory change or remediation. The team partners with individual business lines within ISG (Global Markets, Investment Banking, Capital Markets), Risk, Finance, Operations, and Technology teams to drive strategic transformation and data-driven business outcomes.

What you'll do in the role:
As a key member of the BSG team, this individual will work in cross-functional agile teams alongside various business stakeholders (e.g. business, technology, operations, risk and finance) to innovate and consult on developing new or enhancing existing technologies.
This role offers the opportunity to play a foundational role in shaping the team’s capabilities, delivering high-impact engagements.
Key responsibilities will include but will not be limited to the following:
Support high quality, multi-workstream consulting engagements within ISG including front office, risk, finance, operations and technology
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance and propose technology assets and solutions, ensuring seamless deployment and continuous upgradation of functionalities
Own deliverables across the automation journey to ensure the use cases and scenarios are properly documented & analyzed
Create & manage project plans, call out risks & issues proactively, report progress against the plan & track associated project benefits
Partner with BSG leadership and stakeholders on all stages of program planning and execution to ensure deadlines are met and assist with risk/issue resolution
Support change management/ process enhancements, control, and governance-related initiatives
Promote a collaborative, inclusive, high-performance culture that balances excellence with sustainability
Skills Required:
Proven ability to manage delivery/execution of a wide range of tasks and initiatives
Proven experience developing partnerships and coordinating across business, technology, operations, risk, and finance stakeholders
Ability to translate complex business requirements into data, analytics, and technology solutions
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to structure business problems and develop data-driven insights
Strong written and verbal communications skills
Ability to interact at all levels of the organization and tailor messages appropriately
Strong presentation skills, including ability to create polished PowerPoint presentations for various levels of management
Independent self-starter who can manage multiple activities to aggressive deadlines
Eagerness to learn business and understand detailed technical requirements
Qualifications
A minimum of 6-9+ years of relevant experience in Data & Analytics, Business Management, Consulting, Transformation, or related roles within Financial Services.
Strong analytical and data-driven problem-solving skills with hands-on experience in data analysis, visualization, dashboarding, automation, and management reporting using tools such as SQL, Python, Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, Excel/VBA, or similar technologies.
Experience leveraging technology, automation, AI/ML, Generative AI, and digital solutions to improve business processes, controls, decision-making, and operational efficiency at scale.
Experience building and managing data pipelines and working with structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data, including data governance, data quality, metadata management, and data lineage.
Experience working with financial and Markets data domains, including trades, positions, P&L, risk, market data, reference data, client data, finance, and regulatory reporting datasets.
Strong understanding of the Sales & Trading / Global Markets ecosystem, including products (Equities, Fixed Income, FX, Rates, Credit, Derivatives), trade lifecycle, front-to-back operating processes, risk management, finance, and regulatory drivers.
Experience applying data and analytics to solve complex business problems across trading, risk, finance, operations, client, or regulatory domains.
Experience leading strategic initiatives, transformation programs, PMO functions, business management activities, or consulting engagements within Financial Services, ideally supporting Sales & Trading / Global Markets businesses
Experience influencing senior stakeholders and driving organizational change across business and functional teams.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative discipline such as Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
