About the Position

Capstone is currently expanding our sales team to work primarily with hedge funds, family offices, and other asset managers across asset classes and investment strategies. We are looking for candidates who are motivated, entrepreneurial, and interested in both policy and finance. Ideally, we are looking for individuals with at least five years of sales experience and who are looking to build a career in a fast-paced sales environment. We offer a very competitive compensation package; including salary, commission, and bonuses to ensure a highly motivated sales environment.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities through cold calling, email campaigns, in-person meetings and referrals
  • Manage prospects through the sales cycle and accurately allocate resources
  • Schedule meetings and calls with analysts to gain and strengthen relationships
  • Articulate Capstone’s investment ideas and drive brand awareness
  • Professionally represent our firm to build relationships with our new and existing client base

Qualifications

  • Proven track record of new business development working with both new and existing clients delivering demonstrable growth in a sales environment
  • Organized, persistent and persuasive with the ability to generate their own leads
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Previous experience working within a similar field and an understanding of the financial and policy worlds would be preferred but not essential
  • Computer skills - full literacy in Microsoft Office required, CRM experience a plus
  • Displays strong character and shows commitment to the company by working together and adding value to achieve success
  • Series 7 and 63 preferred, but not required
  • CFA license is preferred, but not required

Requirements

  • Four-year degree
  • High academic achievement
  • Well-established institutional relationships
  • Legally authorized to work in the US and will not require now or in the future visa sponsorship


Capstone offers a competitive benefits package, including health, vision, dental insurance, paid vacation, travel stipend and 401(k). The expected compensation for this role will be $100,000-$150,000 per annum with an uncapped commission. 

 

This position is based in our Washington, DC office. Capstone is in-person Monday thru Thursday with flexible work from home Fridays.
