The Role:

Blue Owl is seeking a Senior Institutional Sales professional to lead and expand its Institutional Capital franchise across Greater China. The successful candidate will work directly with the President of Asia, Institutional Capital, and thee Head of Institutional Capital, Asia, and will be responsible for driving capital-raising activities and deepening strategic relationships with leading institutional investors in the region.

The role requires a proven track record of building and growing a book of Greater China institutional clients, typically across multiple asset classes and private markets strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a proactive business development and fundraising strategy for the Institutional channel in Greater China, with a focus on sovereign wealth funds, central banks, insurance companies, pension funds, and other major allocators.

  • Represent Blue Owl to leading investors across the region, promoting the firm’s brand and full suite of capabilities.

  • Originate, develop, and manage senior-level relationships with institutional investors and key decision makers across Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, and Mainland China.

  • Generate new business leads, oversee the full pitching process, and secure new investment mandates.

  • Drive a strategic, structured, and disciplined capital‑raising approach that aligns with Blue Owl’s global platform and product offerings.

  • Collaborate closely with the Insurance Solutions team, investment leaders, and key regional stakeholders to design and deliver tailored investment solutions.

  • Translate client needs into actionable product and structuring discussions, ensuring strong communication between clients and internal teams.

  • Set and achieve ambitious fundraising and revenue targets in a fast‑paced, competitive environment.

  • Demonstrate resilience, professionalism, and high‑quality client service while navigating challenges and sustaining performance.

Qualifications:

  • Strong institutional relationships across Hong Kong, Taiwan, Mainland China (and ideally Macau), with the ability to manage the capital‑raising process independently.

  • Deep familiarity with Greater China LPs, including sovereigns, central banks, insurers, pension funds, and other large allocators.

  • Proven track record in fundraising across private markets strategies such as private equity, private credit, real assets, or other alternative investments.

  • Sufficient technical expertise and credibility to engage confidently with sophisticated institutional investors and Blue Owl investment teams.

  • Demonstrated success in setting and achieving ambitious commercial targets, supported by a strong work ethic and high personal drive.

  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment; operates as a self‑starter while remaining highly collaborative.

  • Global mindset with experience navigating cross‑border teams and international investor bases.
    Solutions‑oriented communicator with excellent presentation and relationship‑building skills.

  • Strong cultural alignment with Blue Owl’s values, including integrity, collaboration, and long‑term partnership orientation.

  • Fluency in Mandarin and English (spoken and written); additional regional languages are a plus.
