Provide analysis and support with various data-driven initiatives, including the Payments Index, incentive payments to financial institutions, and support for the annual price change exercise. Perform complex sales and financial cost/benefit analysis, and will produce a battery of reports and analyses including, but not limited to CU Summary, Velera Processing entities, and win/loss analyses. Manage key performance indicators (KPIs) used in analysis/model development. Engage with multiple business units to obtain financial metrics and program costs and will interact with internal management including the Growth business units (Client Growth Management, Sales, and Solution Design), Product, and Finance.
Role Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain a battery of reports providing foundational data for the Velera Payments Index and related publications. This includes but is not limited to, Primax Payment Pulse, JHA Transaction Insights, Payments Index Hawaii edition, etc. Extracts data as needed for ongoing deep dives and related research.
- Reviews and prepares for payment of all new and ongoing financial institution incentive payments for accuracy. Tracks recurring payments, develops documentation for payment value, and submits payment requests for timely and accurate payment.
- Manages and delivers multiple production reports. These include, but are not limited to, CU Summary, AIM Diagnostic Tool, Credit Portfolio KPI report, Monthly Closed LOB Report, Velera Processing Entities report, quarterly Episys report, and quarterly Key Risk Indicators (KRIs).
- Manages and maintains the Microsoft Teams site and all content and reporting for the Insights team. This includes housing production reports, research documents, and related annual sentiment survey content.
- Supports the Velera annual price change exercise, which includes billing-related data extractions and creation and support of (client-facing) pro-forma price change modeling.
- Assists Accounting with the creation of the annual Statement of Equity documents.
- Provides internal enterprise support for financial institution processor and metric comparison software (FI Navigator).
- Develops, tracks, and warehouses complex financial analysis and models on cost/benefit, business ROI, and cost savings for member credit unions by the line of business (LOB) and overall relationship; produces recurring reports and analysis for use by Client Growth and Sales teams to quantify the value of the Velera relationship.
- Partners with business units to meet informational needs of Growth organization.
- Supports the RFP team with various research requests.
- Provides ideas and recommendations to continually improve the performance of the Insights team.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Role Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Data Management/CIS, Finance or related area required.
Experience
- Six (6) years of analytics experience is required, preferably in a financial or sales environment.
- Experience with SAP/Business Intelligence and CRM software required.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, specifically Access, Excel and Word and database computer software applications (SAP/BI, Oracle, VBA (Visual Basic for Applications), Velera Member Insight tool)
- Demonstrated excellent analytical and quantitative skills; strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet critical deadlines, and deal effectively and professionally with all levels of personnel, clients, and vendors.
- Ability to exercise discretion and good judgment in making decisions.
- Solid experience with financial ratios, cost/benefit analysis, IIR, NPV, and other financial rating metrics that demonstrate a positive return on investment for our clients.
- Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats.
