MAIN PURPOSE

The Insights Analyst Intern will support the development of Cartier Japan’s Insights capability and Strategic Planning team by helping transform consumer research, market intelligence and performance data into structured and actionable knowledge. The role will be organised around three key priorities:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

KEY RESPONSIBILITY 1 – COMPETITIVE & MARKET INTELLIGENCE
Support the ongoing Competitive Intelligence monitoring for Cartier Japan.

  • Contributes to the continuous monitoring of competitors and relevant market developments across Japan, including business performance, pricing, product launches, communication, retail and client experience.
  • Identifies consumer, luxury and cultural trends, and translates key signals into relevant insights.
  • Maintains and enriches the Competitive Intelligence ecosystem, contributing to quarterly reviews, competitor deep dives and other relevant formats.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY 2 – INSIGHTS & STUDIES

Support the development of consumer and brand knowledge to inform strategic decisions.

  • Contributes to quantitative and qualitative research projects across key Maison priorities, from initial desk research and hypothesis development to analysis and synthesis of findings.
  • Supports the translation of questionnaire and research findings into clear and actionable insights.
  • Contributes to the continuous enrichment of the Insights Hub by integrating new findings, connecting existing knowledge and helping identify remaining knowledge gaps.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY 3 –PERFORMANCE & ADHOC PROJECT MANAGEMENT SUPPORT

Provide analytical support to key strategic priorities and performance monitoring.

  • Supports the Insights and Strategic Planning team on selected topics.
  • Contributes to the development of the marketing performance tool.

PROFILE

Experience:

University student with curriculum in business development, marketing, strategic planning, and similar fields

Prior work experiences (in a company or as graduate projects) in relevant field

Affinity with product retail and luxury

Skills:

Eager to learn, curious and proactive

Japanese and English fluency, any other language is a plus

Good organization and time management skills

Good communication & interpersonal skills

Analytical mindset

Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
