About this role
The GP Onboarding Specialist is responsible for coordinating, executing, and maintaining high‑quality onboarding of General Partners (GPs) into the Insight platform on behalf of LP clients. This role ensures accurate GP setup, smooth activation of reporting workflows, and effective cross‑team coordination across Insight, CST/Preqin, MDM, IDS, and Client Success. The specialist enables a seamless experience for both internal stakeholders and GPs by managing technical setup, data preparation, meeting coordination, and operational quality throughout the onboarding lifecycle.
Key ResponsibilitiesOnboarding Execution & Data Setup
Execute the end‑to‑end GP onboarding workflow: initial GP status identification, data preparation, and cross‑system updates.
Validate whether GP already exists in Insight, reconcile MDM inputs, and update Consolidated Onboarding and Fund Information files.
Assist with campaign setup and configuration across Insight, Central, and related systems.
Review GP background, onboarded funds, representative details, and existing Insight setup prior to onboarding calls.
Log in as the GP within Insight to verify readiness and identify data or user gaps.
Prepare internal talking points and meeting documentation to ensure efficient onboarding delivery.
Lead or support onboarding calls, introduce Insight services, clarify workflows, and gather GP requirements.
Schedule and document meetings in Affinity/Central, ensuring accurate attendee lists, naming conventions, and follow‑up notes.
Provide clear communication to internal teams on GP onboarding status, issues, next steps, and escalations.
Create and manage GP contacts, users, and account structures across Affinity and Insight.
Support technical setup and metadata configuration required for GP reporting, submissions, or campaign readiness.
Partner with MDM for GP coverage checks and data validation workflows.
Work closely with CST/Preqin on client support activities, user management, and ongoing relationship needs.
Coordinate with Client Success managers, Implementation Leads, and IDS teams to ensure all onboarding requirements are met.
Maintain accurate audit‑ready records including onboarding notes, data updates, and meeting summaries.
Contribute to tracking dashboards and operational reporting used by leadership.
Identify process gaps and suggest improvements based on onboarding patterns and GP feedback.
Experience in operational onboarding, private markets data, or platform support
Familiarity with Insight, Affinity, or comparable systems preferred
Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple onboarding pipelines across tight reporting cycles
Detail‑oriented with an ability to navigate complex data structures and workflows
Comfortable working cross‑functionally with technical, data, and client‑facing teams
