POSITION SUMMARY

Mutual Materials is seeking an Inside Sales Support Specialist to support our customer care operations, house accounts sales, and outside sales team support to be Branch based. This is a full-time, onsite position Monday through Friday. The role focuses on customer support, order coordination, House Accounts sales, inside sales assistance for customers, contractors, dealers, and the outside sales team. Daily responsibilities include assisting customers with product information, pricing, availability, order placement, delivery coordination, and order status updates while helping ensure a responsive and professional customer experience.

This position works closely with Outside Sales Representatives, branch operations, dispatch, and customers to support daily business activity and help maintain strong customer relationships. While the role is primarily office-based and customer support focused, team members may also assist walk-in customers and support general branch operations as needed.

We are looking for someone who enjoys working with people, communicates professionally, stays organized, and takes initiative. Experience in customer service, inside sales, retail, hospitality, construction materials, or sales support is preferred. Interest in construction, building materials, or the hardscape industry is a plus.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Customer Support, Order Coordination, House Account Sales

• Serve as a primary point of contact for customer calls, emails, and sales inquiries.
• Assist customers with product information, pricing, availability, delivery scheduling, and order status updates.
• Develop and maintain relationships with assigned house accounts to grow and improve sales
• Enter customer orders accurately and coordinate with operations, dispatch, and logistics teams to support timely fulfillment.
• Respond to customer questions and help resolve order or service-related issues professionally and efficiently.
• Build positive customer relationships through responsive communication and dependable service.

Sales Team Support

• Support Outside Sales Representatives with quotes, follow-up, customer communication, and administrative support.
• Assist with lead follow-up and customer account activity.
• Help coordinate customer projects, product needs, and sales opportunities.
• Collaborate with sales and branch teams to support customer retention and growth.

Branch & Team Support

• Assist walk-in customers and support general branch customer service activities as needed.
• Maintain organized customer records, order documentation, and communication notes.
• Support branch operations and contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• 1–3 years of experience in customer service, inside sales, retail, hospitality, or sales support preferred.
• Professional communication and relationship-building skills.
• Organized, dependable, and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Positive, customer-focused attitude with strong problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and order entry software.
• Interest in construction, building materials, or hardscape products preferred.
