The Inside Sales Specialist is responsible for driving customer acquisition, retention, and revenue growth by managing a defined portfolio of Inside Sales segmented accounts. Focusing on proactive sales engagement, opportunity qualification, quote management, and net order growth, while delivering excellent customer experience. This position partners with Demand Gen, Lead Qualification, Customer Service, and commercial teams to build pipeline, convert opportunities to net orders, reduce churn, and promote digital and self‑service adoption.
Inside Sales reports into the Central Marketing team and this role reports directly to the Regional Manager, Inside Sales. The position will be located onsite at our Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia office.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Drive Sales and Revenue Growth by proactively managing and expanding a portfolio of Inside Sales segmented accounts, generating new opportunities, qualifying customer needs, and converting opportunities into closed net orders while achieving assigned sales targets.
- Manage Opportunity and Pipeline Performance through effective use of CRM, ensuring accurate opportunity stages, activity tracking, pipeline hygiene, and sustained pipeline growth across prospects and existing customers.
- Develop Customer Relationships and Market Insight by researching accounts, identifying key contacts and stakeholders, and generating engagement within assigned territories or customer segments.
- Execute Quoting, Pricing, and Order Support, by preparing compliant customer quotes, supporting RFQs and product inquiries, collaborating with technical support as needed to secure customer purchase orders and partnering with Customer Service and Finance to ensure accurate and timely order entry.
- Deliver an Exceptional Customer Experience by adhering to Inside Sales standard work and governance, maintaining accurate data for reporting and forecasting, and promoting digital and self‑service solutions to improve ease of doing business.
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Professional fluency in English and Japanese, both written and spoken.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in inside sales, sales support, customer service, or a business‑to‑business (B2B) commercial role with defined KPIs, targets, and performance metrics.
- Demonstrated experience managing customer interactions and supporting revenue generating activities, including lead follow‑up, customer engagement, and opportunity progression with ability to follow defined sales processes, governance, and standard work practices.
- Ability to use CRM systems to document customer activity, manage sales opportunities, and maintain accurate data for pipeline visibility and reporting. (Salesforce preferred).
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
- Requires up to 5% travel, both domestic and international.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Selling or supporting filtration, fluid management or contamination control solutions in the microelectronics, semiconductors or precision manufacturing industries.
- Familiarity with digital and self-service sales channels in a B2B environment, including ecommerce platforms, customer portals, and CRM enabled workflows, with the ability to guide customers toward efficient digital purchasing.
