Position type: Exempt
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide customers with support of Plansee’s materials, machining and fabrication capabilities, and technical specifications.
- Master all customer related transactions within SAP and ensure accurate data and files are maintained in SAP.
- Generate customer requested quotations based on market data, estimating, and global production network capabilities.
- Provide project management support for customer requested products and required specifications.
- Participate in internal team meetings to support customer excellence
- Review customer drawings, orders, delivery issues, return orders, etc.
- Provide support on action items (i.e., technical details, timelines, etc.).
- Work closely with production and planning on delivery changes
Provide updates to Sales & Marketing Managers on customer and competitor internal / external activity
- Work with Accounting Department in resolving credit or billing related issues.
- Closely work with affiliated companies regarding products made in the Global Production Network. This includes discussion on pricing, lead times, technical and product details, and general communication.
- Distribute required information to fulfill orders (i.e., order materials, distribute customer/PLUS CAD drawings, etc.). Prepare order acknowledgements, verify that scope of work described matches the work order and submit to customer for approval/confirmation.
- Manage customer complaints and assist the Quality Assurance department with recommendations and actions to mitigate future risk. Ensure resolution and customer satisfaction.
Demonstrate commitment to strong team environment
- Assist other Inside Sales Representatives with workload and work-related questions
- Support customer visits at the Franklin facility with meeting preparation.
- Occasionally travel to affiliated companies for training purposes and or customer sites
- Other duties or projects as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
- Associates Degree in Business or technical discipline and 1-3 years’ work experience in industrial and/or technical sales in a business-to-business environment.
- High School diploma and 3-5 years’ work experience in industrial and/or technical sales in a business-to-business environment.
- Strong mathematical skills
- Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings desired.
- In-depth computer knowledge (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook). Experience in working with MRP system desired; SAP/R3 a plus.
- High degree of communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, support a team approach and achieve sales goals.
- Positive attitude to develop new business and foster strong relationships.
- Meet the requirements under ITAR - U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (green card holder).
