 The role

We’re seeking a motivated and customer-focused Inside Sales Representative to join our dynamic team in Bangalore. This role is ideal for someone who excels in relationship-building, managing sales pipelines, and driving revenue growth through strategic engagement with mid-market and public sector clients.

You’ll connect customers’ business challenges with Hitachi Vantara’s data-driven digital infrastructure solutions, enabling innovation and transformation across industries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Generation & Qualification: Identify, engage, and qualify prospects through targeted outbound campaigns and inbound inquiries across industries such as Financial Services, Healthcare, Manufacturing, and the Public Sector, etc.
  • Sales Execution: Manage the full sales cycle remotely — from discovery and solution mapping to deal closure — ensuring a seamless, consultative experience.
  • Account Management: Build and nurture long-term customer relationships while developing new business opportunities within assigned territories.
  • Pipeline Management: Maintain and accurately forecast pipelines using CRM tools such as Salesforce or Salesloft.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Commercial Client Executives, Partner Account Managers, and distributors to ensure alignment and growth within key accounts.
  • Customer Engagement: Present and communicate the value of Hitachi Vantara’s Postgres-powered data platform and other digital solutions to help clients modernize their IT infrastructure.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Maintain complete accuracy of all sales activities, forecasts, and opportunities within CRM systems.

What you’ll bring

  • Goal-Oriented: Motivated by performance rewards and consistently achieving/exceeding annual sales goals.
  • Proven Performer: Demonstrated success in achieving or surpassing B2B or tech sales quotas.
  • Consultative Seller: Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with a customer-first mindset.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficient in CRM and digital selling tools such as Salesforce and TechTarget.
  • Collaborative: Works effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
  • Adaptable: Quick learner who can adjust strategies based on market dynamics.
  • Regional Expertise: Fluent in Kannada (Karnataka) or Marathi (Mumbai region), with exposure to Government sector clients preferred.
  • Experince in Goverment tenders/RFP's and should have worked on GeM portal.

Skills & Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of B2B selling experience in IT, SaaS, or digital infrastructure.
  • Proven ability to manage the full sales cycle — from prospecting to closure.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to map customer pain points to value-driven solutions.
  • Highly motivated with a hunter mindset and a history of consistent sales achievement.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Experience using Salesforce, Salesloft, or equivalent CRM tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
