FMH Conveyors is searching for an Inside Sales Manager, responsible for managing the Inside Sales team (6-8 Inside Sales Representatives), the prioritization and scheduling of customer orders through engineering, supply chain, production planning, and operations. This position is expected to analyze back logs, lead times, and production schedules to support Finance and Management in monthly and quarterly revenue forecasts. The Inside Sales Manager is also responsible to listen to and discern the needs of the customer from the Sales Managers and VP of Sales and to follow-up on those needs.


POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, other duties as assigned.

  • Responsible for leading, developing, and managing the Inside Sales team which consists of 6-8 Inside Sales Representatives.
  • Responsible for developing and implementing enhanced manufacturing methods to improve quality, reduce cost, improve safety, and reduce lead times utilizing lean concepts and tools
  • Provides manufacturing and process engineering support to Operations
  • Reviews backlog of standard and custom orders for all product lines, managing and adjusting promised ship dates to meet deliveries from various customers
  • Provides support and direction to the Production Scheduler to establish priorities and required ship dates to meet the Company’s and the customer’s expectations
  • Provides support to Inside and Outside Sales team and associated customers including reviewing requested delivery schedules for existing backlog as well as lead-time forecasts for future projects and orders
  • Provides support to Finance on review of monthly and quarterly revenue forecasts based on production schedule and customer requirements
  • Responds to verbal or written inquiries regarding scheduling of orders and future lead times
  • Ensures company policies and procedures are reviewed often and recommends any necessary changes
  • Works with the Inside and Outside Sales team to provide coverage for existing sales accounts as needed
  • Trains and manages the professional development of the Inside Sales team
  • Establishes Standard Operating Procedures for the Inside Sales team

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree required
  • EXPERIENCE: At least five years of sales experience in a manufacturing environment and proven ability to manage a team.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills
  • High degree of professionalism with strong communication, leadership skills and team oriented
  • Ability to learn ERP Systems (Epicor), excel skills should be at the expert level with a high level of experience with pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.
  • Must be able to travel periodically

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Required to sit and stand for extended periods of time; occasionally climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
