The Inside Sales District Manager is responsible for establishing and developing a relationship with retail customers in specified regions. This person will also build a relationship that optimizes sales performance while inciting greater product commitment and sales. This position may call on existing or smaller accounts, works under general supervision, and reports to the Region Manager. This position has some travel involved but limited. Candidate must be willing to relocate for future roles.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for qualifying prospects, developing interest, and closing sales through account follow-up, outbound cold calls, and emails.
  • Strong phone presence capable of making dozens of calls daily.
  • Influence and improve account profitability through various selling techniques including online presentations, floor matrix illustrations, gap indexing analysis, etc.
  • Execute merchandising/advertising activities to support new product launches and re-branding efforts.
  • Understand customers’ needs and requirements.
  • Be familiar with inventory levels and provoke adjustments as required.
  • Manage monthly sales expectations and achieve annual growth targets, and financial budget.
  • Create awareness of and promptly report on competitive conditions in the market.
  • Share successful selling techniques with colleagues.
  • Meet monthly and quarterly goals in all targeted categories.
  • Communication with transportation team and RDC’s around load planning and delivery ETA’s.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required.
  • Basic knowledge of various sales concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Some merchandising experience preferred.
  • Ideal candidates should exhibit excellent interpersonal, listening, and selling skills.
  • Prior sales experience preferably within a durable goods capacity, a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
