The Inside Sales Associate plays a critical role in driving new business generation across Europe, acting as the first commercial touchpoint for prospective biologics customers. This role focuses on lead qualification, outbound targeting, and pipeline creation, feeding high‑quality opportunities into the field Business
Development team.
This is a commercial, growth‑oriented role with direct impact on Catalent’s European biologics pipeline.
The Role- Serve as the first point of contact for new prospective customers, qualifying inbound enquiries and screening for commercial fit
- Own lead qualification and conversion, turning marketing and outbound activity into sales‑ready opportunities
- Execute targeted outbound campaigns aligned to priority technologies, sites, and customer profiles
- Actively support pipeline growth through structured follow‑up, discovery calls, and opportunity assessment
- Collaborate closely with field Business Development to ensure smooth handover of qualified opportunities
- Support marketing initiatives by maximizing conversion of inbound interest into qualified leads
- Establish required legal documentation (e.g. NDAs/CDAs) to progress opportunities quickly
- Promote awareness of Catalent’s biologics capabilities across new and existing customers
- Provide feedback to Marketing and Sales on lead quality, targeting effectiveness, and market trends
- Maintain accurate lead and opportunity data in CRM systems
- Develop and maintain strong working knowledge of supported technologies, sites, and SMEs
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences (Biologics, Chemistry, or related discipline preferred)
- Understanding of pharmaceutical development and manufacturing; biologics and/or CGT experience preferred
- Early‑career commercial or customer‑facing experience within life sciences or healthcare
- Strong interest in business development, sales, and new customer acquisition
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage scientific and commercial stakeholders
- Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple leads and priorities
- Confident using CRM tools (Salesforce preferred) and digital research platforms
- Able to work collaboratively across Sales, Marketing, and Technical teams
