Role Overview
As an Innovation Strategy Analyst, you will play a critical role in shaping strategic and innovation‑driven decisions across the organization. This role sits at the intersection of strategy, finance, and innovation, supporting senior leaders with robust analysis, forecasting, and insights—particularly within the New Product Introduction (NPI) governance framework.
You will collaborate closely with Global Innovation, Strategic Marketing, Finance, and PMO teams to evaluate performance, identify risks and opportunities, and enable data‑driven decisions that guide future growth initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Analysis & Financial Modeling
Perform economic and financial analyses including rate of return, depreciation, and investment evaluations
Analyze profit and loss statements and prepare clear reports with recommendations for management
Generate forecasts and analyze trends across sales, finance, and other business areas
Build financial and strategic “what‑if” models to support business decisions.
NPI Governance & Performance Reporting
Oversee and execute monthly performance reporting supporting the regional NPI governance process
Partner with Finance teams to track KPIs, evaluate business performance, and improve NPI forecasting accuracy
Support innovation initiatives across all business units through data analysis and performance insights
Stakeholder Management & Collaboration
Work closely with the Strategic PMO Operations group to support strategic and innovation projects
Interface with Global Innovation and Strategic Marketing, regional Marketing teams, Finance, and other cross‑functional stakeholders
Effectively communicate results, insights, and objectives to senior leadership
Risk Management & Strategic Insights
Identify potential risks in NPI forecasts and innovation pipelines
Develop and recommend mitigation strategies
Analyze data, market trends, and economic developments to provide actionable insights for strategic initiatives
Continuous Improvement & Process Excellence
Drive continuous improvement initiatives in strategic planning, reporting, and forecasting processes
Maintain accurate documentation of analyses, assumptions, and methodologies
Produce regular, well‑structured reports for management review and decision‑making
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field
Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) is a plus
10+ years of relevant experience in strategic analysis, financial planning, or business analytics, preferably within the chemical, manufacturing, or related industry
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, SQL, and similar analytical tools
Experience working in a multinational, matrix organization
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to translate data into strategic recommendations
Entrepreneurial mindset with creativity to shape solutions and influence future direction
Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to engage and influence senior leadership
Detail‑oriented, structured thinker with a strong strategic perspective
