The Role

Infrastructure Specialists at Kyndryl are project-based subject matter experts in all things infrastructure – good at providing analysis, documenting and diagraming work for hand-off, offering timely solutions, and generally “figuring it out.” This is a hands-on role where your feel for the interaction between a system and its environment will be invaluable to every one of your clients.
There are two halves to this role: First, contributing to current projects where you analyze problems and tech issues, offer solutions, and test, modify, automate, and integrate systems. And second, long-range strategic planning of IT infrastructure and operational execution. This role isn’t specific to any one platform, so you’ll need a good feel for all of them. And because of this, you’ll experience variety and growth at Kyndryl that you won’t find anywhere else.
You’ll be involved early to offer solutions, help decide whether something can be done, and identify the technical and timeline risks up front. This means dealing with both client expectations and internal challenges – in other words, there are plenty of opportunities to make a difference, and a lot of people will witness your contributions. In fact, a frequent sign of success for our Infrastructure Specialists is when clients come back to us and ask for the same person by name. That’s the kind of impact you can have!
This is a project-based role where you’ll enjoy deep involvement throughout the lifespan of a project, as well as the chance to work closely with Architects, Technicians, and PMs. Whatever your current level of tech savvy or where you want your career to lead, you’ll find the right opportunities and a buddy to support your growth. Who You Are

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Infrastructure Specialist with a strong background in both on-premises and cloud environments, particularly within the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) sector. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of infrastructure management, cloud technologies, and industry-specific requirements to ensure the seamless and secure operation of our IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Infrastructure Management: Design, implement, and maintain robust on-premises and cloud infrastructure to support business operations and ensure high availability, scalability, and security.
• Cloud Integration: Lead the migration and integration of on-premises infrastructure to cloud platforms, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
• Security and Compliance: Ensure that all infrastructure components comply with BFSI industry regulations and standards, including data security, privacy, and disaster recovery.
• Automation and Orchestration: Utilize automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform) to streamline infrastructure deployment, configuration management, and monitoring.
• Containerization: Implement and manage containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) to enhance application deployment and scalability.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, network engineers, and security specialists, to deliver integrated solutions that meet business needs.
• Performance Monitoring: Monitor infrastructure performance and implement improvements to optimize system reliability and efficiency.
• Incident Response: Quickly respond to and resolve infrastructure-related incidents, minimizing downtime and impact on business operations.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in infrastructure management, with a focus on both on-premises and cloud environments.
• Proven experience in the BFSI sector, with a strong understanding of industry-specific requirements and challenges.
• Expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Strong knowledge of networking, storage, and virtualization technologies.
• Experience with infrastructure automation and orchestration tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).
• Proficiency in containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
• Experience with automation and orchestration tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).
• Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
