As an Infrastructure / Site Reliability Engineer within PNC's Tempus Technologies organization, you may be based in a remote location. This is a remote position. Work may be performed from a quiet, confidential space in a home location, approved by PNC. This position may not be available in all geographic locations.

As an Infrastructure / Site Reliability Engineer, you will lead efforts to enhance the reliability and performance of our applications and infrastructure. You will be responsible for implementing robust systems, automating processes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions. Responsibilities include:
System Reliability and Performance:
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain highly reliable and scalable systems.
· Ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of critical systems and applications.
· Implement monitoring and alerting solutions to proactively identify and address potential issues.
· Develop and refine alerting thresholds based on system performance and business needs.
· Conduct performance analysis and implement optimizations to enhance system efficiency.
Automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC:
· Design and implement automation workflows to streamline deployment processes, operational tasks, and infrastructure provisioning.
· Advocate and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles to ensure consistency and repeatability.
Incident Management and Resolution:
· Participate in incident response activities, identify root causes, and implement preventative measures.
· Collaborate with support and development teams to resolve critical issues promptly.
Capacity Planning and Optimization:
· Conduct capacity planning exercises and optimize systems for performance and cost efficiency.
· Implement strategies for auto-scaling and resource optimization.
Security and Compliance:
· Collaborate with security teams to ensure systems meet security and compliance standards.
· Implement and enforce best practices for securing infrastructure and applications.

Job Description

  • Applies solution design and support while consistently meeting customer needs. Leverages technical knowledge and industry experience to design, build and maintain infrastructure technology solutions.
  • Develops software components and hardware for projects; aligns these with business strategies and objectives.
  • Independently solves common problems and updates applications with new technology.
  • Collaborates with engineers, architects, developers and other staff to meet project objectives.
  • Analyzes the technological needs of customers and provides ongoing support for clients.

Pay Transparency

Base Salary: $55,000.00 – $208,000.00

Salaries may vary based on geographic location, market data and on individual skills, experience, and education. This role is incentive eligible with the payment based upon company, business and/or individual performance.
