Infrastructure Engineering Intern

Responsibilities:
- Support Infrastructure Projects:
- Assist in the planning, development, and deployment of infrastructure projects.
- Work under the guidance of senior engineers to ensure project goals are met.
- System Maintenance:
- Help monitor and maintain existing infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and uptime.
- Participate in troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues.
- Network Management:
- Assist in the configuration and management of network components such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Monitor network performance and security.
- Documentation:
- Maintain and update technical documentation, including system configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Document troubleshooting steps and resolutions for common issues.
- Automation and Scripting:
- Learn and assist in creating scripts to automate repetitive tasks.
- Support efforts in infrastructure automation and orchestration.
- Security and Compliance:
- Assist in implementing security measures to protect the infrastructure.
- Help ensure compliance with organizational policies and industry standards.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with other team members and departments to support IT initiatives.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
Qualifications:
- Education: Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Technical Skills:
- Basic understanding of network protocols and services.
- Familiarity with operating systems such as Windows, Linux, or Unix.
- Experience using Debian or Ubuntu is preferred.
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) is a plus.
- Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Comptencies:
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Previous internship or coursework related to IT infrastructure or system administration is beneficial but not required.
