About Neuralink:
We are creating devices that enable a bi-directional interface with the brain. These devices allow us to restore movement to the paralyzed, restore sight to the blind, and revolutionize how humans interact with their digital world.
Team Description:
The Infrastructure Team builds the foundation that enables the company to operate safely, robustly, and move at light-speed. We run a mixture of cloud-based and on-prem systems and have a user base spanning from highly technically proficient engineers to non-technical scientists and doctors; but all of them need solid systems, rugged networking, and bullet-proof software to do their jobs.
Job Responsibilities and Description:
This role will integrate tightly with Mechanical Engineering teams across the company, and span all layers of the work environment stack, including our next generation surgical robots, physical hardware on the manufacturing line, and state of the art neural implants and chargers.
Tech Stack:
- SOLIDWORKS, SOLIDWORKS PDM Professional
- SOLIDWORKS API (VBA, C#/.NET), Python
- Microsoft SQL Server, Active Directory
- PowerShell, Bash
- Intune, MDM
- Bazel and Nix
- Ubuntu, Fedora, Windows
Focus:
- Building the foundations for mechanical engineers designing our surgical robots and implants.
- Owning SOLIDWORKS and PDM performance, reliability, upgrades, and new-hire setup.
- Administering PDM: users, permissions, workflows, Toolbox, and vault performance.
- Developing CAD CI for automated model and drawing validation and release.
- Integrating PDM with design-controls and manufacturing systems to automate BOMs, DMRs, and build routes.
- Building secure on-prem infrastructure for 3D printers and machine shop tooling, including internal quoting.
- Driving CAD and tooling standards across the company.
Required Qualifications:
- Strong user focus.
- Experience administering SOLIDWORKS PDM or a similar PDM/PLM system.
- Experience with CAD automation using the SOLIDWORKS API: macros and add-ins.
- Proficiency in Python, C#, Rust, or Go.
- Experience tuning performance on workstations, file servers, and SQL databases.
- Systems administration experience on Windows, macOS, and Linux.
- Working knowledge of networking and of securing on-prem equipment.
- Familiarity with mechanical design workflows, design controls, and BOMs.
- Ability to turn engineering pain points into shipped tooling quickly.
- In-depth understanding of modern networking and common protocols.
- Ability to architect, build, and ship 0 to 1 infrastructure quickly and efficiently.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, equivalent field, or equivalent experience.
Expected Compensation:
The anticipated base salary for this position is expected to be within the following range. Your actual base pay will be determined by your job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. We also believe in aligning our employees’ success with the company's long-term growth. As such, in addition to base salary, Neuralink offers equity compensation (in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSU)) for all full-time employees.
What We Offer:
Full-time employees are eligible for the following benefits listed below.
- An opportunity to change the world and work with some of the smartest and most talented experts from different fields
- Growth potential; we rapidly advance team members who have an outsized impact
- Excellent medical, dental, and vision insurance through a PPO plan

What We Do
Neuralink is a team of exceptionally talented people. We are creating the future of brain-machine interfaces: building devices now that will help people with paralysis and inventing new technologies that will expand our abilities, our community, and our world. Our goal is to build a system with at least two orders of magnitude more communication channels (electrodes) than current clinically-approved devices. This system needs to be safe, it must have fully wireless communication through the skin, and it has to be ready for patients to take home and use on their own. Our device, called the Link, will be able to record from 1024 electrodes and is designed to meet these criteria.
