Infrastructure Engineer III — No-SQL Operations

Job responsibilities

• Operate and support on and off‑prem No-SQL  products like MongoDB, Graph and Cache Db products across dev/QA/production, performing incident triage, root‑cause analysis, and recovery for member failures, region issues, and client connectivity, with end‑to‑end monitoring and appropriate escalation paths.
• Manage capacity and performance on physical/VM infrastructure: 
• Execute controlled rolling upgrades, patching, and configuration changes via on‑prem change management; validate in lower environments, plan maintenance windows, and deliver zero/low‑downtime outcomes using conventional approaches to break down technical problems and drive remediation.
• Monitor cluster health using on‑prem observability stacks (e.g., Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana): build dashboards and alerts.
• Maintain KBs/runbooks; coordinate with platform, network, storage, and vendor teams for hardware/network incidents, patch validation, and cross‑platform architecture changes to modernize processes and resolve issues of moderate complexity .
• Apply Linux and networking fundamentals (TCP, DNS, load balancing) and container/orchestration basics (e.g., Kubernetes) where applicable; leverage automation and scripting to scale operations and improve resiliency .
• Add to a team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect; be accountable for significant decisions across projects spanning multiple technologies and applications .

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Formal training or certification in Infrastructure Engineering concepts and 6+ years applied experience operating distributed infrastructure in production environments; strong problem‑solving across projects of moderate scope .
• Extensive experience on N0-SQL products  like MongoDB where one should know architecture , backup and recovery , exposure to performance  troubleshooting. Working experience  on Shards is plus. 
• Production experience with Valkey/Redis (cluster mode, replication, persistence via RDB/AOF); capacity and performance management for low‑latency use cases .
• Strong Linux and networking skills, including tuning OS/network parameters (file descriptors, TCP keepalive, MTU, buffers) and understanding DNS and load balancing in enterprise environments .
• Experience designing dashboards/alerts in Splunk/Dynatrace or equivalent for JVM/GC, heap/off‑heap, queue depth, client connections, and WAN metrics; ability to partner across application and infrastructure teams to identify capacity risks and govern remediation .
• Foundational understanding of containers and orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes) is sufficient to operate cache services interacting with containerized clients and platform tooling .

• Experience tuning Linux parameters for performance.
• Exposure to microservices architectures and REST APIs used by cache clients; understanding of authentication and data structures for secure, efficient cache access patterns.
• Experience automating and managing database tasks using Python and API framework
• Experience in developing and using AI skills/agents

• TigerGraph: Production operations for TigerGraph clusters including schema design and GSQL optimization; controlled patching/rolling upgrades; monitoring and capacity management via enterprise observability; on‑call incident response, root‑cause analysis, and tuning for low‑latency SLAs. 
• Gemfire : Administer Cache products like Gemfire/Valkey. 
• MongoDB Atlas: Operate Atlas clusters with right‑sizing and autoscaling policies, multi‑region/global configurations, and maintenance within change controls; configure security and networking (private endpoints/peering, RBAC, API governance, encryption); implement cost/capacity guardrails; manage snapshots and point‑in‑time restore with periodic DR testing.
