Job Details:
An Infrastructure Engineer II will have an experienced skillset and solid knowledge in designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure that supports the organization's technology systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the infrastructure's reliability, scalability, and security.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Designing and implementing infrastructure solutions that meet the organization's needs, including network architecture, server configurations, storage systems, and virtualization technologies.
• Organizing collaborating sessions with other teams to understand their requirements and provide technical guidance and support.
• Establish metrics required to maintain the performance and availability of infrastructure systems, troubleshoot issues, and implement necessary fixes.
• Oversee and conduct regular audits and assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and recommend security enhancements.
• Manage and optimize cloud-based infrastructure services like AWS or Azure to ensure cost-effectiveness and scalability.
• Automating infrastructure deployment and configuration processes
• Participating in on-call rotations and responding to critical incidents promptly.
• Perform other assigned job-related duties that align with our organization's vision, mission, and values and fall within your scope of practice.
Qualifications:
Education: Associate’s Degree or relevant experience. Computer Science or Computer Engineering Preferred.
Experience: 1+ years relevant or practical experience.
Special Skills:
• Experience in infrastructure design, implementation, and maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and technologies.
• Proficiency in virtualization technologies, such as VMware or Hyper-V.
• Experience with server hardware, storage systems, and data center operations.
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure is a plus.
• Knowledge of security principles and best practices.
