We are seeking an Associate Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst to support the continuous monitoring, detection, and response of cybersecurity events across the enterprise. This role is responsible for analyzing security alerts, investigating potential threats, and escalating confirmed incidents to incident response or security engineering teams.
The SOC Analyst serves as the first line of defense in identifying and responding to malicious activity, ensuring timely detection and mitigation of security threats.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Security Monitoring & Alert Triage
- Monitor security events and alerts from SIEM, EDR, and other security tools
- Perform initial triage of alerts to determine severity and validity
- Identify false positives and escalate confirmed security incidents
- Continuously review dashboards and security feeds for suspicious activity
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). - Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience, preferrably Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in Security Operations, SOC monitoring, IT security, or related technology roles (Internship, training, or lab-based experience is acceptable for entry-level candidates)
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts (malware, phishing, network security, etc.)
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, 24/7 monitoring environment (if applicable)
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Proven solid analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Basic understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S)
- Basic understanding of MITRE ATT&CK framework
