JOB DESCRIPTION:
Primary Job Function
As an Informatics Software Engineer, you will contribute to building the next release of product features and system design. This role involves working on both front-end user experience and robust platform services. A commitment to teamwork, hustle, and strong communication skills is essential.
Core Job Responsibilities
- Analyze customer needs, design, and develop software work products.
- Create and maintain documentation for SDLC artifacts.
- Develop high-performance, scalable, and secure applications.
- Ensure continuous improvement of informatics applications.
- Ensure compliance with the ADD Informatics Quality system.
- Plan, execute, and track projects.
- Occasional travel may be required.
Position Accountability/Scope
- Design and develop informatics products in compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.
- Assist with the design and implementation of features.
- Operate in Scrum-based development teams.
- Interact with project managers, product owners, and R&D leadership.
- Work as part of cross-functional teams.
Minimum Education
- Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science, information technology, or equivalent work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in a startup or mid- to large-sized corporation.
- Experience with Embarcadero Delphi.
- Working knowledge of SQL (Oracle preferred).
- Understanding of OOP and contemporary design patterns.
- Familiarity with unit, integration, and functional testing, source control (Git preferred), and good software engineering practices.
- Experience in healthcare or life sciences applications is a plus.
- Additional experience with Python, RESTful APIs, containerized applications, AWS, Unix/Linux, mobile development, distributed systems, networking, large software systems, and security software development is a plus.
- Fluent in English.
