The Impact You’ll Have

Role:

The Head of People Analytics, HR Cost and Reward is responsible for overseeing payroll operations, HR systems, and labour cost management, acting as a key reference point for employees, HR, and Finance. Reporting to the HR Director, the role ensures the effective use of HR tools (e.g. Workday, Zucchetti) to support accurate reporting, planning, forecasting, and data-driven decision-making.

The position plays a critical role in workforce planning, budgeting, reward governance, and HR analytics, contributing to the alignment between people strategy, financial performance, and business objectives. The role includes people management responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee end-to-end payroll processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with local regulations and company policies.
  • Act as owner and functional lead of HR information systems (e.g. Workday, Zucchetti), supporting system optimization, enhancements, and data reliability.
  • Develop and manage workforce planning, labour demand analysis, and headcount forecasting in collaboration with HRBPs and Finance.
  • Perform variance analysis between actuals, budget, and forecast, identifying cost drivers and providing actionable insights to HR and Finance.
  • Support the design, implementation, and governance of reward policies, including job architecture, salary reviews, mandatory increases, incentive schemes, MBO programs, and profit-sharing plans.
  • Ensure fair, transparent, and compliant compensation practices, including pay reporting and analysis in line with EU Directive requirements (e.g. gender pay gap).
  • Work closely with HR Business Partners to collect business needs, assess feasibility, and provide data and insights to support decision-making.
  • Coordinate and manage external providers related to payroll, HR systems, and compensation benchmarking.
  • Manage a dedicated team, fostering continuous improvement and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Define and govern compensation and benefit frameworks, including salary reviews and variable pay schemes, ensuring alignment with business strategy and compliance.
  • Oversee compensation analysis and pay transparency reporting, providing strategic insights to HR leadership and HRBPs.

The Attitudes And Skills We’re Looking For:

  • At least 10 years of experience in similar roles.
  • Proven experience in payroll management, workforce planning, and labour cost controlling.
  • Strong expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Solid experience in compensation and benefits design and reward governance.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into business insights.
  • Proficiency in HR information systems and tools (e.g. Workday, Zucchetti, or similar platforms).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with HR, Finance, and business leaders.
  • Experience in people management and leading cross-functional projects.
  • Fluent in English and Italian.
