Job Description:
Industry Solutions Executive Engineer positions offered by Hitachi Energy USA Inc., (Raleigh, NC). Sell Hitachi solution strategies through the adaptation and implementation of sales support strategy for designated areas in accordance with the global Energy Planning & Trading (EPT) solution strategy. Ensure technical and commercial support of EPT products and solutions for internal and external customers. Estimate budget, bid and propose preparations ensuring alignment with Hitachi Energy corporate standards, strategies and targets. Ensure support during technical meetings, product presentations and negotiations with customers and provides technical and commercial clarifications and subject matter expertise as needed. Conduct the validation of commercial, technical, legal, and pricing terms and conditions in each offer. Support bid/no bid analyses and decisions and participates in project risk review processes. Handle the resolution of the bid and proposal processes in support of the local sales strategy.
Minimum Requirements:
Requires a bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in industrial engineering, electrical engineering or related field and 8 years of experience in the position offered or 8 years of experience supporting sales, business development and marketing on Renewable Technology integration, de-centralized Grid, Microgrid, Distributed Energy Resources Management System Applications, and Enterprise Software products and solutions. Also requires 8 years of experience: reviewing strategic sales plans and goals and translating them into technical short and medium-term operational and tactical engineering dialogue for sales and marketing teams; and influencing buying behavior of “C” Suite executives as well as across multiple teams in power supply, trading, risk analytics, planning and operations, fuel budgeting, power marketing, energy procurement, fundamental analysis and development, resource planning, integrated resource, portfolio management, asset performance and financial advisory groups within independent power production corporates, investor owned, municipal and rural cooperative utilities, consulting and advisory firms, and renewable project development companies, commercial and industrial entities. Employee reports to office in Raleigh, NC, but may telecommute from anywhere in the U.S. Experience may be, but need not be, acquired concurrently.
