As a GCI Industry Representative you will consult with assigned dealers to market Caterpillar products and services to GCI customers and assist in the development of dealer sales capability.
You will counsel dealers to develop and increase their performance, provide guidance on existing and potential customer service issues and improvement measures within an industry as well as assist dealers on forecast, sales/rental/used strategy planning and sales techniques. You will also support the rollout of new products, analyse and communicate marketplace and competitive activity and analyse product application, configuration and utilisations.
You will work with dealers to provide the best solution for individual customers as you assist dealers with business planning and promotional programs that increase sales while maximizing price realization.
To be successful you will have a comprehensive understanding of customer/dealer market needs to help you make the most suitable decisions for each situation. You will be responsible supporting and developing product sales, dealer effectiveness, overall segment growth, process improvement & sales management.
Key metrics will include PINS growth, Forecast Accuracy & Market Intelligence reporting
Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong problem solving skills with the ability to consider a range of options
- Prior experience working in a dealer/customer facing role is highly desirable
- Previous experience with Caterpillar systems managing pricing and orders will be highly regarded
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision (remote supervisor) is vital
- Willingness to travel 40 - 60%
