About the job
We are seeking a strategic and commercially driven Industrial Wastewater Capital Sales Manager to lead Alfa Laval's Industrial Wastewater sales organization across the United States. This role is responsible for developing and executing the commercial strategy for the Industrial Wastewater market while leading a high-performing regional sales team focused on capital equipment growth.
As the commercial leader for Industrial Wastewater, you will translate market opportunities into actionable growth strategies, develop customer-centric sales plans, and ensure alignment across sales, applications, service, channel partners, and business development resources. You will serve as a key member of the Water, Industrial Flow & Heat Transfer (WIFH) leadership team, helping shape the long-term direction of the business while developing a culture focused on customer value, commercial excellence, and sustainable growth.
This is a remote role with approximately 40-50% travel across the United States.
As a part of the team, you will:
Develop and execute the commercial strategy for the Industrial Wastewater business across the US.
Create and own the annual sales plan, identifying market drivers, customer needs, competitive dynamics, and growth opportunities.
Establish sales priorities that maximize market share while supporting Alfa Laval's long-term strategic objectives.
Lead, coach and develop a team of Regional Sales Managers responsible for Industrial Wastewater.
Conduct regular pipeline, opportunity, and territory reviews to improve forecast accuracy and commercial execution.
Ensure disciplined execution of Alfa Laval's sales process and CRM management.
Monitor sales funnel health, forecasting accuracy, hit rates, customer conversions, and market penetration.
Drive collaboration across applications engineering, service sales, other sales teams, and technical specialists to deliver integrated customer solutions.
Build executive relationships with key industrial customers, consulting engineers, EPC firms, and strategic partners; Support specification efforts and influence customers early in the project lifecycle.
Monitor competitive activity and market trends to continuously refine commercial strategy.
Partner with Marketing to strengthen Alfa Laval's market presence and brand awareness.

What you know:
You have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Business, or a related field (or equivalent work experience), and:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical sales, capital equipment, or solutions‑based selling (B2B manufacturing preferred).
Previous leadership experience managing technical or commercial sales teams.
Experience within industrial wastewater, water treatment, separation technologies or related process industries highly preferred.
Strong understanding of consultative selling and long-cycle capital projects highly preferred.
Strong understanding of municipal and industrial water treatment processes, especially separation technologies.
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Proficiency with CRM systems and a data-driven approach to sales.
Ability to travel 30-50% across the United States.

These considerations can cause your compensation to vary and will also be dependent on your location. The base salary for this role is typically $130,000 - $150,000 annually.
